Iron Man 3 Prelude #2

IM3 Prelude #2

Concluding the prelude into Iron Man 3, issue #2 of this limited series picks up where the first issue left off. After reading this I am now even more excited for Iron Man 3, than I was before.

Story:

The perfect prelude to the upcoming highly-anticipated Marvel Studios film, Iron Man 3 • As Tony Stark prepares for his next venture, he tasks War Machine with a mission of his own. • War Machine faces his biggest test as a hero, while Iron Man takes on the Battle of New York!

I love the story in this prelude, because it takes place during what happened in Marvel’s The Avengers. It continue the story of War Machine on a mission to find out just who is behind all the attacks, with crazy defective HammerTech.

The Good: Once again the art in the book is fantastic. It sets up the third Iron Man film very well. Do you need to read this, and the #1 issue, before seeing Iron Man 3? No, but if you want some behind the scenes looks into what has happened between The Avengers film, and Iron Man 3, then this 2 issue series is for you. The writing is very well done, and I love home they just bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe into comic form.

The Bad: There isn’t much bad to say about this second issue. I love Rhodey’s attitude towards everything, and even though he gets into a few tough scrapes, he always bounces back. I can’t even say anything bad about the dialogue, it was well executed. I still think the designs on all the characters out of costume do not resemble the actors, but it’s understandable if they couldn’t get them to pose.

Final Thoughts:

After reading both prelude books, I can definitely say you should pick these up in anticipation for Iron Man 3 in theaters May 3, 2013!!!!
