In the spirit of Halloween we have a special zombie themed episode. First we begin by discussing Walking Dead and what we think of the new season. Then we get to it. We design our own individual plans on how we would survive the zombie Apocalypse. We pick our location, our supplies, and lastly the rules we would live by in order to survive the end of the world. Let us know what you think and what plan you would follow.
Who has the best plan for surviving the Zombie Apocalypse?
Geeks:
Dan “Movierevolt” Clark
Greg Beppler
Chuck Davis

I am having a hard time deciding who to vote for. Greg has the best location IMO. That’s where I would go, but some of Dan’s supplies are on point. Antibiotics are a big thing people forget about, and bikes was a great call. Never thought of that. They would be great to have. Ultimately though gonna go with Greg. Based on location and the transporter. That put it over the top for me.
See I thought it was a good point that a place like Sam’s Club is going to get picked apart by people trying to get in. I know a lot of geek friends who point to that as the primary location they would go to. So I would worry as a location it would be more hassle than it is worth.
I love this idea. The one supply I would add that no one mentioned was a compass. If you are traveling around the Apocalypse you’ll need to know where you are going. I voted for Greg cause of wet suit idea. That is genius. Not as bulky as body armor but still protects you.
Even if I had a compass I would still get lost. I can’t get anywhere without my GPS. I know I would not last long in a zombie apocalypse.
After the episode I got the sense that Chuck would survive the best. With being an
experienced hunter and having some of those supplies at the ready he sounds like he is a head of the game.
I like the 3’s idea. And I agree 3 seconds without Internet would be too much for some people
I hope. You always gotta be ready for SHTF day. (shit hits the fan) lol
You know what you are probably right. I don’t think I’d make it long in that type of world. I can barely camp in my own backyard.
My Location: A Casino—they have plenty of security on staff, and can be a fortress to get in or out of. With limited exits you also have less to defend against. Plus they tend to have food supplies as well.
Supplies: A machete-can be used as a tool or weapon, Shotgun—would be useful against herds of zombies. Water filters-self-explanatory. Flint-for starting fires. My special 5th item would be Iron Man’s Armor.
Rules:
Trust No One,
Prepare for the future—make sure to always have food
prepared for the upcoming winter, conserve supplies,
Track where I have been. –‘I’d keep a map handy to track
what places I have already check for supplies and so on. Try not to double up
or miss anything.
Not sure about a Casino as a location. They have zero natural light. It could easily be a death trap.
Yes but they have an open floor plan usually. Wouldn’t take much light to illuminate the rooms. Trying to secure it would certainly be a challenge. But there are ways of doing that. Lore the zombies to one specific exit and take them out one by one. Then go inside and take out the stragglers.
Iron Man’s armor would be cool. That way you could run scans and see where the closest zombies are located and how many are in certain buildings.
I share your guy’s love with Zombieland. That movie is wicked fun. I would be interested to hear what other Zombie movies you all enjoy?
My favorites are Dead Snow, Zombieland, and the Dawn of the Dead remake.
You’d put the remake over the original?
I’m not a huge zombie guy to be honest so I’m not too familiar with a lot of them but I did like Zombieland but my favorite would have to be World War Z. Just something about it
28 Days Later (if you count it as a zombie movie) is probably my favorite. Enjoy the original Dawn of the Dead, and Sean of the Dead a lot too. They would probably be my favorites.
With the 5th supply surprised no one went with Infinity Gauntlet. You would be unstoppable then.
That’s a good pick. It crossed my mind, figuring you can just reverse time and undo the zombie apocalypse. I figured it would be cheating so I didn’t go with that haha
LOL. Yes we could have picked that. But kind of like the Tardis it would take all of the fun out of it.
Greg has the best location. Chuck has the best supplies. Locations are facile and tend to not last long so I went Chuck
I will say the idea of fighting zombies with a lightsaber sounds awesome.
Especially if it is a double bladed.
My zombie plan was always to travel down south. Dining so I’d stay attached to the coast line as much as possible. Maybe using a boat not sure. My theory being if zombies got out of control I could retreat into the ocean I don’t’ see zombies able to swim or have the strength to overcome waves. My final destination would be one of those islands off the coast of Florida
That’s a pretty cool idea actually. As long as you have plenty of food and water it would probably be a sweet setup
Interesting idea. I could see that working. Hard part of living on an island though is limited supplies. You do have fishing though.
