March movies not to be missed
It’s hard to believe it is March already and with a new month comes new movie releases.
Here’s a breakdown of movies you don’t want to miss out on this month.
1) CinderellaÂ (March 13)
Disney is continuing its’ theme of live action adaptions of classic fairy tales. Don’t forget that with the release of this film comes the adorable short “Frozen Fever”
Based upon the 1950 cartoon of the same title, the film brings to life the classic tale of EllaÂ or rather Cinderella as we come to know her asÂ portrayed by Lilly James. Taught from a young age by her mother to always “be kind and have courage” Ella’s life seems perfect and happy for a while until tragedy strikes. and she looses her mother. Her father remarries Lady Tremaine (Cate Blanchet) who brings with her two beautiful but dimwitted and mean daughters Anastasia ( Holliday Granger) and Drizella (Sophie McShera). As soon as Ella’s father passes away Lady Tremaine’s true evil comes through making Ella responsible for all the cleaning, cooking and waiting on them. A royal ball for the entire kingdom is announced and of course”Cinderella” is not allowed to attend but with the help of her Fairy Godmother and a little magic her dream comes true.
2) ChappieÂ (March 6th)
In the not to distant future, crime is overseen and patrolled by robotic police droids.One of these droids “Chappie” is stolen and reprogrammed making him the first robotÂ with the ability to think and feel. When the powerful controlling force learns of this they see Chappie as a threat to mankind and the order they are trying to establish. They decide he must be eliminated no matter what.
3)The Divergent Series: Insurgent (March 20th)
The epic book series brought to life continues in the sequel “Insurgent”
The stakes have never been higher for Tris and Four as they continue their search for allies in the ruins of Chicago.Both are now fugitives on the run and hunted by Jeanine the leader of the power hungry Erudite. With time running out the two must discover the truth of what Tris’s family sacrificed themselves to protect and why Erudite is so desperate to stop them from discovering that truth. Haunted by her inner demons and past choices ,Tris is still desperate to protect the one she loves. With Four at her side the two face one impossible challenge after another in hopes to unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of the world.
