Album Review: Black Stone Cherry – Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea

Album Review Black Stone Cherry:

Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea

I Blame It On The Boom Boom!! I’ve heard of Black Stone Cherry in the last few years. however this was the first album I’d heard from them. They are a band originating in Edmonton KY, and have been around since 2001. This latest album kicks ass!!! This is an album I can listen to every single song, and I love them all. I first heard these guys on Rockline Radio when they appeared with other band members from the Carnival of Madness Tour. Blame It On The Boom Boom, was the track that I gravatated to. Recently I picked up the rest of the album from iTunes. It starts with White Trash Millionaire, a very catchy radio ready rock song. Black Stone Cherry have that southern rock type of feel, hard hitting riffs at times, and slow melodic vocals at other times. A very solid album I think, and if you like bands such as Theory Of A Deadman, Nickelback, 12 Stones, Seether, and Godsmack these guys fit right in with all the rest of those bands.

My Top 5 favorite tracks are:

#5. In My Blood

#4. White Trash Millionaire

#3. Let Me See You Shake

#2. Fade Away

#1. Blame It On The Boom Boom

However as I said I like all the tracks. The order that they are in make perfect sense. The album is arranged very well. Here’s the track listings from both the regular version of the album and the special edition:
