  1. As someone who collects action figures and statues as a main hobby the time spent is not a big factor. The quality of the product is the most important so I want to get the most
from my money. If I could spend $300 on a top of the line product or get something bottom of the barrel for $25 I’d go with top of the line. I’d rather have fewer figures that are more unique and interesting, then a bunch of average items clogging my shelves.

    1. Collectibles is something we can totally touch on in a future episode, thanks for the suggestion!

      1. If there is ever a ‘collecting’ episode I would love to be a part of it. I have somewhat of a …..problem in that respect :)

Regarding that did you ever think about talking about collection things like figures or statues, or anything really. Do you collect anything besides the norm video games, comics ect..?

  3. Do you enjoy driving?

    Not in the least

How much is your entertainment worth?

That’s very much a loaded question. It depends on the product.
For most things you know what to expect before you buy them. Video games,
movies, ect… How much time something requies doesn’t pertain to what I buy too
much. A comic may only take 4 minutes to read at the most, but that also has
the potential to increase in value. Most things like video games, movies, and
    such don’t have that option.

My entertainment is worth a lot to me. Most of my free money
goes to it. Why make the money if you don’t enjoy spending it.

    Other topics?

Board games or table top games would be cool. I love the
written reviews on the site, and like to see more stuff about those types of
games. Do you play any? If so what kind?

    1. I am familiar with certain board and table top games. Could this be broadened to pen and paper RPGs like D&D or ShadowRun cause I LOVE those.

  4. I don’t mind driving….but I love driving a stick. Driving a stick makes you feel more connected to the entire driving experience.

Entertainment is a cornerstone for me. If it is something i’m interested in and i can justify it to my wife, then cost is relative. Time is a larger issue than cost for me.

You guys should cover non-conventional media that you enjoy. Like your favorite podcasts outside of the GeekCast family or your favorite Web based shows or YouTube videos.

    1. My Ford Tempo and Chevy Barrette were sticks. I loved them to death. Unfortunately I can longer drive a stick, not that I can’t remember how, just physically unable. My current G6 has a manumatic transmission, I can shift through the gears like it was a manual, but it’s clutch less. I’ve only done it a few times when I first bought the car.

  5. The how much is your entertainment worth is a hard one to answer. It depends on the cash flow at time time. I’m not going to miss a meal because I need a $60 video game. Well…I have come close to that. All in all though I’m all about getting free entertinament as much as possible, which is why I love podcasts!

I’m a newbie to this website (my friend recommend it to me). One thing I like to find out is how did this all start? How did Geekcastradio come to be.

    1. I can totally understand the money issue and weighing the difficult decisions there. I too listen to a ton of podcasts. I will be sure to answer the GCRN question in an upcoming episode. Maybe with a guest to also explain… :)
Glad you’re liking the content and have decided to stick around. We strive to grow a community of geeks here.

  6. are you guys(Mike and Steve) going to stream live on Google Plus in the future so us the fans can shoot the shit with you?

      1. If you do it will you put what time you are recording so we know when to be on google hangout?

          1. Can you also send a link to GeekCast Radio’s Google hangout?

  7. How much is my entertainment worth to me? Goodness that’s a hard one to answer. on a superficial level it is worth a high amount. By that I mean I will financially spend a substantial amount of money on items that falls into the entertainment category. More than I’d like to admit lol. As long as I feel I have gotten my money’s worth I’m fine. I tend not to complain about prices, because entertainment is a choice. If ticket prices are too high, or a an item is too expensive I just won’t buy. If I complain about prices it is in regards to things like utilities, school loans, and something I have no choice in buying.

What’s this I hear about MWIRE changing? Will you all be doing more stuff like your summer recap? Enjoyed that episode a great amount. Maybe something like what Off the Cuff does for video games, but for movies? That would be quite the venture of goodness. Looking forward to see what’s coming down the pipeline.

    1. With regards to MWIRE, you’ll have to wait and see, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed:)

Yes MWIRE has major changes coming next year…… but we haven’t finalized anything yet. So not gonna spoil anything lol

thanks for the support glad you are liking the shows
