  1. Great stuff man.

I mainly do podcasting for myself, I’ve said that for years, I do it, because I enjoy reviewing or talking with other friends on whatever topic it is. As of this comment I just wrapped last night on TPB 322 with Aimee, Nicole, and Heather, we were reviewing Transformers Till All Are One V2…. we have so much fun in general when we are together, that the recordings just seem to flu by. So I don’t get burnt out on that end, however I have zero motivation on editing sometimes. Once I have the motivation to edit, I’ll edit the crap outta a podcast, but until I get that inital motivation I’m like… meh.

Topical podcasts or review podcasts are the best to do, as you can change it up every week, and keep it fresh. News podcasts burn me out in a hot minute… it’s so hard doing a news podcast, because you are only giving you opinion of the news that is out there, and KEEPING UP with all the news that interests you is tiring as hell. I will most likely NEVER EVER do or run a news based podcast ever again. That’s where I get burnt out, and wanna say let’s burn this whole thing down.

Real life comes before podcasting! I’ve said this for years as well… You handle life and yourself first, if you are honest and open with the audience they will understand, support you, and be here when you come back, if you decide you need a break.

YouTube is garbage these days…. it takes a super amount of dedication to get and keep a successful youtube thing going. There are too many prople just shooting stuff with their cell phones etc. Yes phone cameras have come a long way, but still… As you said I’m so glad I never got into producing YT content. I loathe video editing. Audio is so much more fulfilling for me.

Talking about YouTube reminded me of GCR 17 where Optibotimus and Peaugh joined me to talk about YT 8 years ago!

  3. This sounds like me and the end of the TFWIRE podcast. :)
Whenever I get the urge to create content again, it never pans out. I even went so far as to register a domain and develop a logo…but then I remember I could be doing something else with my life.

    1. Haha yeah I have times like that. I can’t quit is my problem though. I just have to evolve my craft. Truth be told I’d like to work in podcasts and in radio / broadcasting.

Part of the issue is the lack of pay and lack of time to commit
