This episode is more enjoyable then i originally remembered. Unlike other simple episodes i harp on, there’s a lot to like here. The concepts are simply but they make it really silly and fill it with a lot of good jokes. THe Fly reference, Buford’s teddy bear, Ferb’s Grandparents cameo, the songs, there’s so many good jokes here.

There’s a real energy to this one that i like, especially near the end. My only nitpick is that theres small logic issues. Part of Buford’s hair isn’t in the pic so it gets taken off…but when they take Linda’s pic, some of her isn’t there, yet all of her is teleported. Seems a bit of an oversight.

Otherwise, a solid and fun one. 7.4/10. Would be 5 if there was a bit more to it or less logic issues ,but still good.

This is oddly one of the most important episodes in the series, and one of the most underrated. For one, we’re introduced to LOVEMUFFIN, and this is the first speaking role for Norm in Season 2. It’s his first appearance where he’s in the role we know him as now. Hail Doofania oddly him to dill the Ferb role, but from now, he’s Doof’s assistant full time.

Even the main plot is important, as it’s the first focus for Jeremy and it develops him a bit more. That stuff aside, this is a pretty cool one. Everything involving LOVEMUFFIIn is hilarious from their name to Rodney. He’s a great snooty rival for Doof.

The way the plots interact on the Dance floor is rather fun. The main plot has a nice twist on the Candace/Jeremy plot and is really sweet. The way the episode comes together is very nice, and both plots are notable.

My only real problem is that main plot doesn’t get much focus on it’s own and it’s not that funny. It’s the heart and way it plays out that makes it good. Also, weak song. As it is, it’s a 7.8/10. If the main plot had more humor or focus, it’d be an easy 8. But as it is, it’s very enjoyable.

    What do It Do:

This episode has nice twists on the formula and some cool little things. The P&F plot revolves around a Doof invention, and Linda is driven crazy by someone not believing her about it. Linda being in Candace’s role is a fun idea and they bounce off each either well.

There’s not quite a pay off, as Candace ends up looking crazier by the end but it’s still neat. The song is really fun and creative, but Doof steals the show. The flashback with Linda is great,. cuz it’s funny and really neat to find out.

(Fun fact #1: This was done as a nod to the whole Doof is Phineas’ Father theory, and to shoot it down since we see that it was only one date and it ended badly)

There’s some good bits and jokes, although the pay off of it being a Romance Rocket, while funny,. is kind of a rehash of the De-love-inator. Although i do love how the two rockets fall in love. Wait, since Rocket #2 is built in the same way as Rocket #1, they are both of the same gender….huh, gay robot love!

Oh, and Irving’s here. I like seeing him back but he has such a small role that Ferb has more lines. Also, Baljeet likes Isabella.

Overall, a fun take on the formula with amusing bits here and there. 7.4/10.

(Fun Fact #2: This episode is 12 minutes long rather than 11. It’s sister episode is 9 minutes long, the shortest in the series. I didn’t’ even notice in this eps case, but the latter ep is clearly shorter but I’ll get to that)

    Atlantis:

This episode is quite in terms of the pacing and plotting. As i said, it’s only 9 minutes and it kind of shows. Minus the credits, it ends very abruplty without much of a wrap around. The wrap is in the credits! Ontop of that, the main plot feels kind of of…weak-ish.

The main problem is…not much actually happens. They find Atlantis right away and…take it up to the surface. There’s no Atlanteans …except in the song for some reason. They don’t explain why it got lost in the first place and they do nothing with it ecept bring it t th surface.

There’s so much they could have done with Atlantis but they do basically nothing. It really feels like they cut corners on this one, or had no time to work on it. Even the weakest eps of Season 2, feel more complete.

…But aside from that, it’s honestly fine. Candace’s plot is really neat, especially since she at first doesn’t want to do enter the contest because P^F will outshine her, further showing that she secretly is a bit envious of them.

Doof’s plot is decent with some okay lines, the song is great, and the main plot at least good jokes, like Irving’s “Camera’. (sorry, but i really like him in this. There’s a good mix of creepy fanboy and weird nerd here. Also he has the most memorable jokes here) (Wait, you Micheal didn’t bash him too much back in Hide and Seek now suddenly he’s an issue?)

Overall, they kind of cut corners and wasted potential but it is a fun episode to watch. I’ll give it a 7. It has good stuff there, but a much better main plot where things actually happen and the ending is complete would have been nice.
