Talking in Circles – 71 – Would You Either

TinC-ipod

On this week’s show we debut a new game, which we quickly realize is basically an old game renamed but we go with it anyways. Dan also has a review for a comic that even non-comic readers will dig, Chuck is surprised by his reaction to Big Hero Six, and Greg is keeping the book recommendations going. All that and more on this week’s episode…

  1. I find that really Great Art can save a average story, for example the run of Venom, I liked the story, but a times when the story lagged the art picked it up.

However. I find the flip side harder, Bad art can not save a story I am interested in. example, Thunderbolts at the same time, I love the team, and their interaction, however I dropped the title after a few issues.

  2. It’s funny you all have an issue with Romita Jr and his faces all being the same. I more have problems with people like Greg Land who changes the face of the same character panel to panel. What happens when you are a glorified tracer like Land.

    1. That’s my issue with the Marvel Star Wars books right mpw. They try to make each character look like the movie actor they look different panel to panel. The only one that doesn’t really do that is Darth Vader for obvious reasons.

  3. Have you read Velvet? Fade Out is great and if you like Ed Brubaker and Captain America than that is a must read. Steve Epting art is just as good as it was in Captain America.

  4. I’d go with not having to sleep over using the bathroom. Imagine how much more things you could get done. As long as I wasn’t tired all the time I would love not having to sleep. You can sleep your life away.
