Talking In Circles – Episode 26 – Moments in Time

TinC-ipod

On this week’s episode of TIC we are debuting a brand new game, which has mixed results. We also get into some talk about the British version of Top Gear and how Chernobyl is not THAT bad. This is also a show of new beginnings as Greg has finally started Game of Thrones and Dan has gotten into the Star Wars expanded universe with the Darth Bane saga. They both share their thoughts.

Also this week episode four of Unknown: Master and Servant.

  1. I dunno. I kind of like the concept of the Moments in Time game. Well at least I found some of the facts interesting. We found water on the moon?!??! When did that happened.

    1. A while ago. We also found out that water is on or use to be on mars too, I believe.

    2. It was very interesting. I just need to study more historic events apparently haha

    3. Good to hear! My facts were kind of all over the place. If we ever do it again it’ll be different or at least easier for all.

      1. I could see where you were all going with the moments in time. Don’t think it really worked though. What about doing it but giving multiple choice or something.

  2. One thing I found useful when watching Game of Thrones is the second screen on my ipad. It’s like a interactive cheat sheet. Makes keeping track of what’s going on a lot easier.

    1. I’ll need it for watching the second season. I am gonna wait until the second seasons price drops though.

    2. I always wanted to try that. I just worried it would cause me to be too distracted.

  3. The Unknown skit is getting better and better. Its become one of the highlights of my week.

  4. Yea I wasn’t the biggest fan of the new game. Could see what you were trying to do. Just don’t think it worked completely. I will say though you guys are getting back into this whole reading thing again. After hearing you talk about books so much I’ve started reading some of the Halo books I bought years upon years ago. They are okay. Are there any book series you would recommend getting into? Nothing too heavy or anything? I’m thinking fantasy or Sci Fi to some extent.

      1. Some of the Halo books are really good. Stay away from the comics. Those are mostly awful. The Fall of Reach is one of my favorite books.

    1. I could never get into the Halo books novels or comic books. They always reminded me of fan fiction and did not have the awesomeness of some of the Star Wars novels. The Halo universe is just not that interesting to me. Unlike the Star Wars universe.

  5. “A giant bag of douches”—I dunno why but I found that super funny. I will use the quote for now on.

  6. Hold on, hold on, hold on. We are calling Linda Hamilton scary now. Granted in T2 she would stab you in the eye with a spoon without even blinking. When she wasn’t playing mercenary she was a decent looking woman. Maybe not supermodel pretty, but god forbid an actress look like an actual human being.

    1. To be fair it was a reference to her in Children of the Corn, and if you see her in thought than yes she is rather scary.

    2. I’ve never been a big fan of Linda Hamilton. She works in To as a bad as but always thought she looked coked out of her gourd
