  1. Okay, okay, okay. HOW can you go with Black Panther of Batman. Black Panther is a C level Avengers character with a couple cool attributes. Batman is the god damn Batman. I don’t understand that one at all.

    1. Funny, I was going to say the exact opposite. Batman gets so overblown by people. Its like he is a god or something. He is beatable, and Panther is more than just a C level hero. Maybe popularity wise, but that dude is not to be messed with. He took at the Fantastic Four by himself. Something Doom couldn’t even do.

      1. You don’t think Batman could take out the FF if he wanted to? Maybe C level is too harsh, but he’s not in Batman’s level.

        1. I’m a huge Marvel guy…..but you don’t mess with Batman. He has a contingency plan for everything.

          1. Yea he does. Although Black Panther is not to be messed with either. I think one on one you go with Batman, but Batman would have trouble if he ever attempt to go into Wakanda. I don’t think even he could do that.

          2. That I could agree with. If it was in Wakanda then Panther has a chance.

          3. 100%. As Tower of Babel has shown. There’s no one too much for him to bring down.

  2. Robocop is honestly one of my all time favorites. That movie holds up so well, which made doing the remake all the more meaningless. I actually think making a Robocop statue is pretty cool. I get its a fictional character, but it notable part of Detroit’s history.

    1. Yeah I was surprised how well it held up. The statue is awesome, google it if you get a chance.

  3. You guys are on the ball with Dan Abnett run on Nova. That series was fan freaking tastic. That character was a joke and that made people have to take him seriously.

    1. If they could somehow translate that to film for a Guardians sequel or something like that how awesome would that be.

      1. There’s rumors Nova will be showing up in the Guardians movie. I would love to see something like the War or Kings or Annihilation storyline. That would be freaking fantastic. Maybe Marvel can use Guardians to try to build a cinematic cosmic universe. Makes me sad knowing they don’t have Galactus.

          1. Definitely do the IG story first. Never in my dreams of my younger self would i have thought an IG themed movie would ever happen.

        1. Yeah we may get a Nova cameo if we’re lucky but I’m thinking more in the sequel. I agree Annihilation would be sweet for sure. And what’s wrong isn’t the cloud-Galactus from ROSS enough?? haha

    2. Yea. That run was tremendous. I remember once the Nova corps starting reforming it going downhill a tad, but it was fun while it lasted.

  4. I would love to see
Dr. Strange and Green Lantern. That pairing has me super intrigued. I think it
was my favorite of the night. So many things to consider. I love those types of
pairings more than the obvious ones we see all the time. Flash and Nightcrawler
    is pretty cool too.

    1. I love the idea of showing Hall Jordan the Green Lantern movie to kill his will power. I think that would work.

  5. I would love to see Dr. Strange and Green Lantern. That pairing has me super intrigued. I think it was my favorite of the night. So many things to consider. I love those types of
pairings more than the obvious ones we see all the time. Flash and Nightcrawler
    is pretty cool too.

  6. Chuck is right on the money. I am not going to be more inclined to pick up a comic book just because a woman is on the cover. The entire idea is patronizing and insulting to think women are that closed minded. Your first concern should be making a great character and telling a great story. Maybe that will happen, maybe it won’t. We’ll see.

    1. It is patronizing and I’m so tired of this wave of political correctness sweeping the nation. For some reason we have to make everyone happy on every little thing. It goes too far and ends up ruining stuff.

      1. I guess I have to ask you what you mean by, “making everyone feel better”. If you mean the everyone wins a trophy type of stuff I can agree with you. We have forgotten the value losing can bring. But if you are saying expanding characters out to fit other races, genders, or sexual orientations I have to strongly disagree. I can say as someone growing up not having any superheroes that looked like me, acted like me, came from where I came from, or shared a background that was anything like mine was disheartening. It makes you feel like something is wrong with you. So now that we are starting to include those that were once ignored now its political correctness? It’s not political correctness, its reality correctness. Those that have an issue with it tend to be those who never knew what it’s like to be on other side. I don’t know if that is what you are saying, but if it is that troubles me greatly. I just don’t know why I should feel bad about wanting to have major superheroes that I can relate to.

        1. No that’s not what I meant. I was too unclear with my comment. When I say “making everyone happy” I mean you shouldn’t have to spell things out every time. I was referring to the fact that many people in society don’t think of people as people. They look too much at what separates us. You want to get to the point where it’s not an issue who’s who. You’re absolutely right we should have everyone represented in comics so we can all relate. And it should be no big deal but for some reason it still is when something like this comes out in the media. And often times people will support a particular group but in a way that gathers public attention or spotlight to reinforce their image. And political correctness is usually about image. If you’re going to put out a character, just do it. I don’t agree with saying “Look what we are doing for you. Look how nice we are.” Give people the respect they deserve for existing, don’t just pat them on the back when everyones looking. Like with Marvel, it feels like they are saying “Look at us, we respect women!” When all they have to do is just do the story. Don’t worry about making a spectacle of it on The View. We already know there are lots of great female characters in Marvel. There’s all sorts of great characters, that’s what makes it great. For example, I’m a Christian and I love having a character like Nightcrawler that expresses his faith in comics. And there aren’t many of them. But they don’t make a big deal about it, they just do it. I like that. Basically, when you walk the walk, you don’t need to talk. That way you don’t need to broadcast your view on every little story and every little thing because it’s already part of how you operate. People are worried about doing or saying the right thing when it should just be a part of who you are already.

          1. okay. My mistake. I think I misinterpreted what you said. I 100% agree with this. That’s the right way to do it. Don’t do it just do it. Do it right and don’t treat people like marketing tools.

          2. Thats okay I shouldn’t have put up such an ambiguous comment.

  7. Unknown now with sound effects! Love it guys cool stuff. I have no idea where it is going and I love that.

  8. I love these types of debates. It brings me back to my old days having these arguments on MySpace message boards. Okay I feel old now.

    1. You did that too! LOL. That was my bag back in the day. There’s something special about debating fictional characters. No matter what anyone says.

    2. Oh yeah fun stuff. I would love to get into this even more actually. Wait until we hit the really controversial matchups! Lol That and the strength levels. That’s always fun to debate as well

    3. Thanks. We’ll probably go about it again some time. We were saying we were surprised it took this long. Don’t feel old. I too use Myspace and kind of miss it in a lot of ways.
