TFG1MIKE 365 – 2019 Day 37!
37 in a Row!!
Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. In my 37th entry, I’ll be talking about the number 37!! The number 37 is brought to you by The Count from Sesame Street and readers like you!
Honestly I’m not sure what I’m writing about today! I have no clue, sometimes I plan these things out, sometimes I get an idea from social media, and the rest of the time I wing it. Plans while they can be set in stone, once I have an idea, most of the time these days they are fluid. If you haven’t seen Clerks, first off what convenience store have you been living under, and secondly, stop reading this and go watch CLERKS!!! While in the last ten years or so I haven’t been much of a Kevin Smith fan, I still love his Viewaskewniverse stuff.
I’m not sure what it is about Kevin Smith himself, that has turned me off to nearly everything he says or does. I watched and enjoyed Comic Book Men for a long time, I even watched his Spoilers show that was on Hulu for a bit. However I haven’t paid much attention to anything he’s actually done since Clerks 2. I had his first evening with DVD years ago, but lately everything I see him say online… I end up rolling my eyes. With the exception of his words on Stan Lee and that man’s passing.
This blog entry was never intended to bash Smith or even talk about his work. However with 37 anywhere in the title, how could I not have? For the record as I said, I loved CBM with Walt, Bryan, Mike, and Ming. (Ming was my least favorite, Mike was my most favorite). However the show had a shelf life, and there it is living on the shelf. Did you watch Comic Book Men, and if so what did you like about it?
Are you an old school or new school Kevin Smith fan? What is-was your favorite film he’s directed? Let me know in the comments below!
Join me tomorrow morning February 7, 2019 as I’ll be writing about the Delta Airlines Diet Coke napkins!
