Mike’s Poetry Corner Part 2
Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. In my 54th entry, I’ll be taking you back to the poetry corner. If you have been following along for the past 53 days, you’ll know that on DAY 22 I wrote out a previously unpublished poem of mine. It was a poem that I dedicated to my lovely wife Karen. I feel it’s time to return to the poetry corner for this cold and very windy Saturday. Ince again my style is more free verse than anything else.
Catch The Moment
I just wanna catch the moment
The moment we met
The moment we kissed
The moment we fell in love
5 I just wanna catch the moment with you
Yes I know this was a short poem, but I think keeping it short and sweet is the key at times. It’s been a month or so since I have written any poetry, and I wrote this for my amazing wife Karen, after a night of fitful sleep, and constantly staying awake thinking of all the stuff we have to get done.. Our life together is filled with many wonderful moments, and I wish I could freeze them all in time, and hold onto them forever. Let me know in the comments below what you thought of the poem!
