National Mario Day!

Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. In my 69th entry, I’ll be talking about National Mario Day!

Whether you started out with Mario in Donkey Kong, Mario, Bros, Super Mario Bros 1,2,3, the lost levels, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and any other Mario game you can think of… Super Mario has been a part of your life since 1985. What I remember as a kid is my cousins had the NES, and I had the Sega Master System. I always wanted to go over to their house to play Super Mario Bros 1,2, and 3. The Sega Master system had Alex Kidd, but he was no Mario. Sonic was only a dream at this point, because he was a number of years away from being created-released. Mario Mario and Luigi Mario have been characters that we’ve grown up with, and really enjoyed. Between them there are three Marios! Although I think Luigi gets a bad rap at times. What does Super Mario and his World mean to me? It is a part of my childhood that I can go back to and play the games, and relive the glory days of Nintendo. It’s a simpler time in video games, compared to everything that’s out there today.

He’s just a plumber from Brooklyn, stuck in the mushroom kingdom, trying to rescue the princess from the President of Nintendo. Yup that’s right Bowser is now in charge. Are you a gamer and did you get your start with Mario? What is your favorite Mario game? Let me know in the comments below.

Join me tomorrow morning March 11, 2019 as I’ll be writing about the 8 Year Anniversary of my podcast From The Command Center. May The Power Protect You!

“Mario we ruined our childhood to save your Bitch!” – some meme I saw online. Seriously we loved every frustrating minute of it.
