TFG1MIKE 365 – 2019 Day 74
Purple Rocks!
Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. In my 70th entry, I’ll be talking about my love of the color Purple. No not the film, the actual color! To be clear I love the darker shades of purple, not the lighter ones.
There’s a picture of me floating around somewhere with a purple Burger King crown on, this was back in the day when they still gave out the crowns. I’m not sure, but if I had to say a starting point for me loving the color purple it most likely was at that moment. The two images you see below are of me in 5th and 6th grade respectively. I have a picture day image of me from 4th grade with purple and laser beams, but I can’t find it at the moment. All I remember from 4th to 6th grade, as long as purple was a background color option… that’s what I wanted.
The image shown below is when I got my purple Nike basketball shoes, sadly they didn’t fit, and I had to send them back. I was gonna rock those shoes so hard though!
The image below was made by TV’s Mr. Neil and Steve Megatron. Steve found the background online, and tinted it purple, while Neil drew and colored an animated version of me.
Thank God I met and married a woman that loves purple like I do. My two favorite colors are Black and Purple, hers are Teal and Purple! I think my purple influence has corrupted Karen more and more as time passes. LOL!
The future-now wife even let me get a purple wedding ring. We were going to get matching purple wedding rings, but that didn’t work out. So I have a Tungsten Carbide Black and Purple wedding ring!
As you can see from my featured banner for the 365 series, Purple is everywhere in my life! Years ago now I even was able to paint my entire apartment purple with black trim, the purple color was based off of Galvatron from Season 3 of Transformers Generation 1!
