Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. In my 80th entry, I’ll be giving you my thoughts on the above quote.
Confucius was a confusing guy! HA! However he is so right, yet there are times when I do just want to stop. It’s those times when I’m in such a dark place, that I can’t even see the light, that I need to drop everything. To just be still in a moment, or to sleep off the stress, even though the stress will be there when you wake up.
Lately in life I’ve felt as if I’m going at a snail’s pace. Hell look at this “daily” blog thing, I’m so far behind on it. Should I even still do it, besides doing it for myself, I have felt as if the daily goal was a bit much lately. Confucius says to go slowly, but going as slow as I am these days…. it feels like these daily blogs will never get done. There’s another quote “stop and smell the roses”, well I’ve never been much of a flower fan, but when you go go go and accomplish a lot, you do need to slow down. Slowing down isn’t a bad thing, but why would a full stop be bad? I’m not saying hey I’m gonna stop everything in life, or stop my life, y’all know I’m not the suicidal type. After all I’m more about Suicide Prevention. A million miles an hour will burn you out really quickly, but when it’s the speed you are used to, you just have to keep going.
I will get this year long blog done, and at the end I’ll feel extremely accomplished. What are your thoughts on Confucius’s quote? Let me know in the comments below.
