Funko Pops and Sodas Star Wars Style!
Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. In my 145th entry, I’ll be talking about My Style in Star Wars Funko Pops and Sodas!! Holy Crap folks!!! I’m actually writing on the 145th day of the year!!! That didn’t happen in 2019!!!!
Well today’s a day! It’s another Star Wars Day! As Star Wars was first released in theaters on this day in 1977! I wasn’t even born yet, but in the mid to late 80s when I was 7, 8, or 9… I did get to see all three Star Wars Films on VHS!!!! My personal favorite is Return Of The Jedi. I’m trying to remember what the first Star Wars Funko pop was that I got back in 2017 or 2018…. I think it was the Glow In The Dark Electrocuted Darth Vader! Nope it was these two scoundrels! Han and Chewie with Goggles from Solo: A Star Wars Story! Hmm…. I know I had that Vader somewhere…..
Since then I’ve been very picky with which Star Wars pops I had in my collection. It wasn’t a line that I wanted EVERYTHING from, and that’s how I approach most of the licenses Funko has. As I’ve stated in previous write ups, I go by characters I love or at this point for Star Wars characters that look COOL! Also as you’ll see, I’ve kinda gone all in on Ahsoka pops! And then there are the Funko Star Wars Sodas!
So after two years I finally finished The Clone Wars series, and I’m all in on Ahsoka! Love her character, and I’m now also digging into The Bad Batch series. (Anything I can do to delay watching Star Wars Rebels… Not a fan of Ezra)! I only ever watched Rebels back when it premiered on Cartoon Network, and I only caught it sporadically!
The Star Wars Funko Pops are great, each one has such unique designs! Luke in Speeder is awesome, I can see the sand running over it! Then there’s the Vader/Obi-Wan Duel scene! Where I am in my Funko collecting in 2023 is that I want the haracters I love, but I also want more display type pieces like the speeder and duel scenes above.
Funko Sodas for Star Wars! I was skeptical on these, but I kinda love them. I also went through and tried to get Sodas of the pops I don’t have. Now I got the Obi Wan Soda before the duel moment that is above, and I have no Amidala pops at all. Love that metallic chase of her! The Only reason why I’ve come around on sodas is of RockNRowe aka RockInkToys and his #SODADECKS!!! Love the way they display the figures and POGS!
