Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. With my 69th entry, back in 2019 I talked about National Mario Day! This time around we return to that topic, but with a twist! So head back in time to 2019 to see my original write up, and now for the twist!
From 2019 to 2023 it’s finally time for THE SUPER MARIO BROS MOVIE!!! Releasing in Theaters April 5, 2023, when I saw the first trailer, I was a bit excited, and I didn’t really care about Pratt being the voice of Mario. I wish Charles Martinet was offered the role, but it is what it is. So we got the official trailer from Illumination and you can see that here:

So the first trailer… HELL YEAH! I’m all in, and ready to WATCH. THIS. MOVIE!!!! The writers have said that they flipped the script just a little bit, by making Luigi be the one in trouble instead of Princess Peach. I’m ok with this, because having Mario save his brother from Bowser is wayyy more interesting, than the tired old Damsel in Distress thing. Plus Peach can kick major bowser butt!!! Chris Pratt’s wahoo at the end of the first trailer was cool, and I love the use of all the classic sound effects!

AGAIN GIMME A HELL YEAH!!! I’m so in for this SUPER fun ride! A Mario Movie we have waited nearly 40 years for!! I do not see this film disappointing me at all!
And then there’s this ad that they did:
WOWZERS the classic SMB Show Theme!!! YESSSSS!!! So very excited for this film. The animation looks amazing, and I really love what I’ve heard of the voice cast so far. And again the classic sound effects get me every time!
