The Best of C.O.P.S. Volume 2 (Mill Creek)
Case #1051: The Case Of The DVD Set Review:
C.O.P.S. was always a favorite cartoon of mine as a kid. Mill Creek has put out a couple of “Best Of” Volume sets. I recently got Volume 2 in the mail from them. It is comprised of Episodes 33-43 of the cartoon series. The picture and audio quality is great, and even though the only bonus features are an episode of Hey Vern, It’s Ernest, and a spot trailer for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, this is a nice single disc set for the casual fan of this cartoon series. I can’t compare it to the other Mill Creek or Shout Factory releases, because I don’t have them. However as I said before the sound and picture quality is very crisp.
As this is a bare bones under $10 DVD set there really is much to talk about packaging wise. As you can see there is awesome front cover art, and the main menu depicts the C.O.P.S. ready for action.
As I said before this DVD lists episodes 33-43 on it. Not sure how this qualifies as a “Best Of”. However I am glad that the series is on DVD.
So if you are a child of the 80’s and want a preview of this awesomely cheesy cartoon, check this DVD set out.
I do hope that Mill Creek will do a complete series set one day, but what they have done so far is wonderful. Especially getting the entire series of C.O.P.S. on DVD.
Loved this cartoon as a kid, might have to pick this up
