  1. You guys are not nearly as bad as you think you are so no need to worry. This episode was fun. Could have done with some more doc about what you liked and/or disliked about Guardians though.

I don’t think I could stay away from a genre really. The closest I can think of are movies like Sharknado. That are bad on purpose. They aren’t funny to me. Just a waste of time.

    1. I could have used some more talk about Guardians, but Nathan and Matt’s convo on Hercules was good. I gave up on that movie but I might give it a second chance.

  2. Because my mom subjected me to horror at a young age, I’ve developed a low tolerance for blood guts and gory films. And Horror would be the one film genre I definitely stay away from…. I have a healthy respect for the genre from a far. The only other one is OLD Westerns…………. they are too damn slow for me.

  3. The only genre I stick away from are Spoof comedies. The new spoof comedies that have come out in the last few years. Stuff like Epic Movie or Pop Culture Reference the Movie or Meet the Spartans. The spoof has lost its ways since the days of Naked Gun and Airplane.

    1. Airplane and The Naked Gun films are the only good spoof comedies honestly. The rest in the last at least 10-15 years are well BAD!

      1. There have been a couple of good ones. Walk Hard was really fun and Black Dynamite is great.

  4. Curious – How many of you that answer the question simply look at the post to see what the question is and respond and how many actually listen to the whole podcast to hear the question etc.?

    1. I usually don’t even look at the post until after I listen to the episode.

      1. I am the same way. I tend to only answer the question if its something I can give somewhat of an opinion on. There is not a genre stay away from so I can’t help you this week.

    2. There have been times where I answered the question before listening because if I don’t I’ll forget by the time it ends.

  5. Are there people who are saying Wonder Woman is showing too much skin? That’s crazy, I did not hear that. I have heard she looks like Xena or that there is not enough color but not that.

  6. I tend to stay away from anything this is too Oscar baity. That counts as a genre right? I think so. Also glad to see the podcast back! Matt and Nate you guys were fun for first time hosts/

  7. So happy Nate and Matt also liked Hercules. All I was hearing was negative things but I to loved that movie. One of the best fantasy films we got in such a long time.

And they are making another Night at the Museum movie? I enjoyed the first one for what it was but enough already.

The only genre I stay away is the Super Natural Teen Romance which I still get over that has become a genre Anything in the vein of Twilight or any of its clones.

  8. Enjoyed the episode. Glad to see it came back! I could use for some more movie talk. I was looking forward to hear more about Guardians. There is no genre I avoid. If a movie looks good I will check it out. The genre usually does not matter.

  9. Didn’t they already make Con Air in space and it was called Lockout and it was horrible. Not horrible good like Con Air, just plainly horrible.
