Iron Man 3 Prelude #1
I was perusing Marvel’s website, after reading Amazing Spider-Man 698-700. I saw this, and was like YES GIMMIE!!!!! I’ve found myself getting into comics more. Plus I LOVE the Iron Man films, so this definitely appealed to me.

Story:
The perfect prelude to the upcoming highly-anticipated Marvel Studios film, Iron Man 3 • As Tony Stark prepares for his next venture, he tasks War Machine with a mission of his own. • War Machine faces his biggest test as a hero, while Iron Man takes on the Battle of New York!
I love the story in this prelude, because it takes place during what happened in Marvel’s The Avengers. It tells the story of Rhodey being on a mission. There are plenty of references to what has already happened in The Marvel Cinematic Universe. It shows War Machine in the spotlight, which is nice.
The Good: I do love the art, and the story. I love seeing the film designs in comic form. The fact that they are still finding HammerTech even after IM2. I thought that was very interesting. To learn that Tony has been trying to rid the world of all the HammerTech, since Justin Hammer went to jail.
The Bad: The only design with the characters that resembles the films is Tony Stark. He kinda looks like RDJ. Rhodey and Pepper look nothing like Paltrow and Cheadle.
Final Thoughts:
After reading this part one, I can’t wait for part two next month. Plus I’m really looking forward to Iron Man 3 in May!!! If you want more IM and/or War Machine, read this book, as it gives us a taste of things to come.
