Justice Lords Beyond Another World “Aftermath” Part 8 of 8

What an ending! As I stated in my very first review of the crossover event between BB and JLB 2.0…. I was very skeptical about the JLB side, but I’ll give more thoughts on that in my final review of that series next week. However Bat Beyond 2.0 #24 is here now, and it was awesome! All right here we go with chapter 24!

Writing:

Kyle Higgins has become the master of DCAU emotionally gripping moments. And he continues to master this craft here in the final chapter of the Bat Beyond Crossover! We see more of the fight between LORD Superman and LORD Batman Beyond, as well as the Aftermath… as the title of the story states. Higgins is great at writing the action scene quips and lines in the moment. Then he goes and gets emotional with the continuity of the DCAU and more. I think between Chapters 22 to now… I’ve either cried, laughed, or cried again. Just the possibilities of the JL timeline are so great in numbers it’s not even funny. I am hoping that Higgins will revisit it someday, just so we can see more of T’s world.

T. hasn’t exactly been honest with Terry…. I was NOT expecting to see what happened. I will not spoil that for you loyal Bat Beyond fans!!! I will tell you that it’s heartwrenchingly awesome for our Terry, and it was a very nice bit of continuity even though it’s an alternate timeline. The character development from the start to the finish of this arc was all great. Higgins gave us a glimpse of a alternate timeline, that we haven’t seen in a long time. He added in an alternate version of the Batman Beyond Universe… that you just want to know more about.

Art:

Thony Silas is the Batman Beyond Universe art god! Guy Major is the colorist this chapter instead of Emilio Lopez. I like Guy’s colors, they do what they are meant to do. They pop in all the right places. Thony’s art though continues to shine on through! It’s gonna be interesting in the next arc to see Thony’s art alongside Phil Hester’s and Eric Wight’s. I’m a bit skeptical, but open minded. The art here in Chapter 24 is great though. The colors, to the lines in the character designs are alll well executed. I know that they’ll repair Terry’s suit, but I’m hoping his line in the crossover about doing some upgrades comes true. I LOVED the LORD Batman Beyond suit.

Final Thoughts:

Next is The Phantasm Returns!!!!! I wonder what and how that happens, and where Bat Beyond 2.0 will go. I have read interviews with Kyle Higgins saying that the next arc will reveal what happened between Joker Night and now… So stoked for that! This was an amazing story in the Batman Beyond Universe. Once again this team continues to be perfect in this series. You should  go get BATMAN BEYOND 2.0 Chapter 24. This is the twelfith overall chapter of the JUSTICE LORDS OF GOTHAM crossover! All within the Batman Beyond Universe, and you won’t wanna miss a second of it! You can find it on the DC Comics App or Comixology or wherever you get your digital comics. Batman Beyond 2.0 continues to go beyond all expectations!

Review Overview

Beyond All Expectations!

A Heartwrenching Good Time!

Kyle Higgins doesn't just wrap everything up in a nice little bow, you feel as if there is a finality to the arc here. And they also set up the next arc with just one line. Chapter 24 is a great ending that will leave you satisfied and wanting more!
