Justice League Beyond 2.0
Continuing the epic animated universe crossover. JL Beyond 2.0 Chapter 19 knocks us on our ass! Quite literally the revelations in this issue tear out your heart! This will be a slightly SPOILER FILLED Review!
Justice Lords Beyond The Return of Wonder Woman “Dark Reflections” Part 3 of 8
All right folks…. I’m REALLY on the edge of my seat now. We are three chapters into this eight chapter arc. Gage and Soy have me mesmerized! Between the writing, and the amazing art JL Beyond 2.0 is pulling me like I never thought it would. Between Christos’s writing, and Dexter’s art…. everything with this universe wide crossover is making me have one big smile every time I read a chapter!
Writing:
So the NEW Justice Lords have arrived, and they are fighting the current justice league. They are both the same set of characters. The dialogue back and forth is very well written. There are times where I wasn’t sure if Lady AquaGirl or our AquaGirl was talking. Same goes for the Warring Hawks. Blending the characters that well just shows you how great of a writer Christos Gage is.
So after the battle between the League and the Lords we find out that Lord Superman is gonna go take care of the Batman that was sent to their world. I can’t believe the way that this Superman is talking, it’s like he completely hates Bruce Wayne. I freakin’ love the differences in Supermen. Between the league and lord version. I’m trying to figure out in the writing if the “my wife” lines from the LORD characters are true or not. As I said before Gage is keeping me on the edge of my seat with the story.
Art:
Dexter Soy’s art is explosive, awesomely fluid, and bends the fabric of time and space. Seriously…. the art in this chapter WOW! I dunno what I was even staring at for 15 minutes. Then I realized it was the awesomeness of Soy’s art. I mean the colors explode of the page. The fading blurriness on some of the effects are amazing. Every page I’m referring to is deeper in the issue than the preview images you see here. You just need to “experience” the art for yourself to see how amazing it is!!!
Final Thoughts/Rating:
MAN THESE ISSUES NEED TO COME FASTER!!!! I’m loving every aspect of both Bat and JL Beyond 2.0!!!! I hate this waiting around stuff!!!! Once again this team continues to do very well in this series. I have more questions than complaints this time around. Specifically what the hell will happen next? Because it seems as if LORD Superman will be in next weeks Bat Beyond chapter! You should go get JUSTICE LEAGUE BEYOND 2.0 Chapter 19. This is the sixth overall chapter of the JUSTICE LORDS OF GOTHAM crossover! All within the Batman Beyond Universe, and you won’t wanna miss a second of it! You can find it on the DC Comics App or Comixology or wherever you get your digital comics.
