GCRN Presents: Movie Revolt

Hey fellow Geeks,

Dan here, AKA Moviereovlt. GeekCast Radio was kind enough to allow me to start blogging on their site. I’ve been a fan of theirs for quite a while now so it’s quite an honor.  With that in mind I thought I’d introduce my since to the Geek Cast Radio nation. For starters I’m an avid movie fan. I love all types of movies from mindless summer action to 1920’s silent French films.  I hope to review some popular titles and pick some lesser known films you may enjoy. While I’m sure you may not always agree with my take on a movie, I’ll always try to be fair and give my honest opinion. I look at reviewing as an avenue for discussion, not a destination to determine the absolute quality of a film. So if you agree or disagree with my take feel free to comment, I’m always up for a debate. Some of my favorite films include Jurassic Park, 12 Angry Men, Empire Strikes Back, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and American History X.

To give you a little background of who I am I grew up in Scranton, PA. You know the town made famous from that amazing sitcom “The Office”. (One of my favorite shows of all time) Currently I reside in Baltimore, MD that city depicted in HBO’s The Wire. Yes, I dictate where I live based upon if a critically acclaimed film was based there or not.  Maybe I’ll move to Detroit next since “Home Improvement” took place there. Anyways besides movies I have other geek passions such as comic books, cartoons, and podcasts. I grew up on cartoons such as the 90’s X-Men, Spider-Man, and perhaps the best cartoon of all time Batman the Animated Series.  This fanhood was part of what drew me to GeekCast Radio. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a nostalgia addict and this is where I get my fix. I hope to add to the growing empire, and look forward to being a part of the GeekCast Radio Network.

Thanks,

Dan “MovieRevolt” Clark
