  1. The Bully Code:

The premise of this is more than a little cliche. Actually, it;s very cliche. However, it works. It’s another “nothing too special’/ one, but it is enjoyable. They play it for comedy and it’s funny because Baljeet is just having non of it. I suppose Buford is a tad Flanderized but it’s not too annoying, so i give it a pass. Then there’s the ending which is a pretty funny payoff to it all.

Candace’s plot is also cliche but harmless and has it’s moments. Doof’s plot is also fun and the Retinator Inator joke is the highlight. The song is average but the 70’s sitcom line is great.

Overall, another ‘fine” episode but the little details make it fun little episode. 7.3/10

(Also, we find out Buford might like Candace. …Yeah)

    Finding Mary McGuffin:

This episode is pretty great. For one, the Vanesa side of the plot is really sweet. Doof does a really nice thing for her that shows her he’s not so bad and she shows that is willingly to some bad stuff which makes Doof happy. It’s really nice on both sides and the ending is unexpected, but funny and makes for an odd sweet ending.

The amazing song really helps the episode as well. That alone would be great but then comes the Phineas plot. The detective concept leads to a ton of great jokes, most notably YEAAAAAH. Both plots together make for a great episode.

One plot is really funny, and the other is sweet and different. So..8.5/10. Maybe slightly too high, but it deserves more than just an 8. It’s great all around..

  2. Hmmm, now I feel the need to work in ‘oh heavens no’, ‘Goo’, and ‘Weenie!’ into daily conversation. I’ll let you know how it goes.

This was a pretty good episode, followed by a pretty great episode. It’s always fun to see Buford and Baljeet interacting together, so to extend that for an entire episode was nice to see, I wouldn’t want to see it all the time, but every once in a while is nice. The Vanessa episode was great, with all of the cop show references and black and white film spoofs, and of course the Doof/Vanessa interactions and the song. I can’t disagree that all episodes with a Vanessa song are great, but for me, I think that all episodes where Isabella gets a song are automatically great as well.

Also, I thought it was funny when you mentioned the Bartman reference, that was the first thing I thought of too when Doof was catching the foul ball.
