Theory Of A Deadman’s NEW Singles!
Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! It’s Day 13 of 2023!!! New Year brings new hopes and dreams to all of us I think. In case you haven’t read any of my blogs before, you can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! Normally my goal with this series is to wake up each new day, and find something on the internet, or in real life to write about. In this double shot of Music Discussion Days, I’m here to talk about NEW Music from another of my favorite bands! It’s time for a NEW THEORY! That’s Right Theory Of A Deadman are Back! This time so far two new singles, the first being “Dinosaur” and the second being “Ambulance”! I am hoping one day to interview Tyler Connolly, I interviewed Dave Brenner from TOADM back in 2011, check that out HERE!

What I like about “Dinosaur” is that it has a catchy beat to it, and Tyler’s vocals carry the story very well as always. Dinosaur at it’s heart basically says the world is fucked, and we’re all goin’ out just like the dinosaur. No matter how catchy the tune is, Theory always puts thought provoking lyrics behind those melodies. I often think about death, lately more than ever. And not in any good sense of the word or the “experience” It’s just that I often wonder where my soul will go after I’m gone, and what mark on the world have I made that means anything. Yes I know I’m talking existentially here, but how many of you reading this haven’t thought of what happens when and after we are no longer in this world? I hope that with the podcasting I’ve done, and will continue to do until I the day I die… and all the writing I’ve done or will do…. I hope that it affected a few people out there in the world. But back to Dinosaur, it’s a kick ass rock song!!!

Well then, these are great songs, but “Ambulance” is kinda like that party song gone wrong. At least that’s what I can tell from the story of the song. I mean “We’re all gonna end the night in an ambulance… pretty heavy stuff. I love the intro part of the song with the instrumental and then the sirens mixed in, before the song kicks into high gear. I like the vibe of the song, and it fits what Theory does so well. They craft tunes that get you jammin’! Then you look at the lyrics, or REALLY listen to them, and you realize… Oh Crap! This is a night of partying that ends badly! I mean if you’re gonna end the night in an ambulance, then it can’t be that great of an ending!
Still between this and “Dinosaur” I’m very stoked for NEW Theory Of A Deadman!
