  1. My thoughts –

Spider-Man 2002 handled the character almost perfectly. The side characters like Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and J Jonah Jameson were done very well. Willem Dafoe played a very convincing Green Goblin. Looking back, my main gripe with the movie is that it didn’t handle the high school aspect very well. It just glanced over it.

Spider-Man 2- A near perfect superhero movie. Villain was great. Generic but great. Peter’s challenges with balancing being Spider-Man and having responsilities as a friend to MJ and Harry, as well as thinking “Am I not supposed to have what I want?” Battles were good and not overdone or dragged out. The train scene is brilliant and the ending is just perfect. Will remain one of my favorite superhero movies forever. Sure it’ll eventually look dated as hell but the heart is there. Seeing the journey of Peter finally see who he is supposed to be is just brilliant. Props to Raimi for putting out this gold standard superhero movie. That to me is the best Spider-Man movie still.

  3. Homecoming is by far my favorite Spider-Man. They got Spider-Man right. Not mopey Tobey and the jerk that was Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker. Tom Holland held the weight of the role without becoming emo. I know a lot of people prefer Logan and Wonder Woman but for me Homecoming is this years best superhero movie.

    1. It is neck and neck for me between Wonder Woman and Homecoming for 3rd place at this point :)
