Cinema Geeks – Quentin Tarantino Retrospective – Kill Bill Vols 1 & 2

It took Quentin Tarantino six years to make his next film after Jackie Brown, and he made up for lost time by making one film into two. We continue our Quentin Tarantino Retrospective as we review Kill Bill Vol’s 1 &2…yes the ‘whole bloody affair’ all in one episode for your listening pleasure.

  1. I look forward to these every week. I have liked a lot of what you guys do her but to be honest these Quentin Tarantino eps have been on an entirely different level. I’m learning a lot and gaining a respect for movies I enjoyed but never saw much depth in. Hope you guys continue these cause I’d love to see you do these with other actors and directors.

    1. We’ve been having a lot of fun doing these and really appreciate all the kind comments you and others have made thus far. We are already discussing the options for the future. So I would say you have nothing to fear on if these continue in the future or not! Any directors you would most like to see covered?

      1. Well that is the question. Probably my favorite director is Nolan but he does get talked to death. For some reason Wes Anderson is coming to mind. Mostly cause he’s a guy who I have some familiarity with but never quite my cup of tea. Similar to Tarantino I respect what he does but not something I seek out. So I would look forward to learning more and having motivation to check some of his earlier stuff I haven’t seen.

        1. You both have thrown out some great options. There’s definitely a lot of good options out there to choose from!

        2. I love Wes Anderson’s stuff too. I’m sure we’ll do a retrospective on him at some point.

    2. Agreed. These have been really good. You should defiantly do more. What about an old school director like Stanley Kubrick or my personal favorite director David Fincher.

      1. I honestly don’t think I’m film educated enough to do Kubrick quite yet. Fincher would be interesting though. He’s got quite the filmography.
