  1. Oh, There You Are Perry

Now here’s a great episode. With the plot, you know it’s going to be a heartwarming one, and it is. The Phineas side of the story is basic, but Agent P’s side carries it. I like the angle of Candace thinking it’s her fault so it gives the story extra emotion. Speaking of emotion, this episode has plenty of it, including the very heartwarming song at the end.

But of course, it’s also very funny, especially with the Regurgiator and what Doof does. It makes the episode more enjoyable than if it was just a big sap fest. The main plot has it’s jokes too. (“Good job,Larry”).

I suppose it could have been a double length episode but it actually works rather well as an 11 minute episode. It never feels too rushed and it’s as great as it could be. I have no complaints about the episode itself. 8.8/10. Perhaps being longer would have given it a higher rating but it’s no big deal.

    Swiss Family Phineas:

I don’t have too much to say about this one. It’s a fun take on the stranded on an island plot. The stuff the boys do is fun, and they get some fun gags out of it. (“You’re giving a monkey a shower?!”).

There’s an odd structure with most of Perry’s plot being spent on him escaping Buford and Baljeet, but it actually works thanks to some funny gags, and Carl getting his big chance with an awesome song.

The actual Doof plot, while not getting a ton of screentime, is amusing due to the Big Laundry callback. There’s nothing too great here, but not much is wrong with and it’s a fun plot. Although I think Candace could have done more or been a tad funnier I guess.

So yeah, 7.4/10. Carl’s song gave it the 4.

    Hide and Seek:

Let’s get this out of the way: I like Irving. Here, he’s funny because he gets some actually good lines (‘Is that an option?) and it’s just amusing with how awkward and creepy he is. It’s also funny how people react to him, especially Buford. He’s a bit forced in this episode, but i think that’s the point. He does get better, but i like him here.

As for the episode, it’s pretty enjoyable. The concept is neat and it’s a fun honey i shrunk the kids type plot. It’s a fun adventure with good gags (“I had to survive!”) and a nice song. Doof steals the show here with his plan and the ending. (“Why do i feel so empty?”). Plus, they fish tail the plots nicely, with the kids fighting Doof’s invention thing.

So yeah, it’s a fun little adventure that introduces a character i like. (Fun Fact: Irving was part of the orginal concept for the show, being one of the first few supporting characters they made. He existed before Isabella, oddly enough). 7.4/10

    That Sinking Feeling:

Not much to say about this one either. It’s a neat set up with some fun stuff in there. The actual plot with Mishi isn’t anything too special but it is nice, even if Mishti is never seen again. Doof story is fun with the ending and Vanessa’s cameo. I also love that they actually got the love boat guy to sing the song.

It’s never been one of my favorite, but it’s nice and it’s fun romance based episode. Isabella’s frustration makes for good comedy too. So yeah, 7.3/10. Not my favorite, but it’s solid and memorable.

    1. RUUUUUUUUN CANDACE…….. PINK LAVA BEHIND YOU!!! …. Pink Lava?? LOL I loved that line

No no no don’t throw the reds in with the white wash you’ll turn it into a big pink mess.

you wanna live forever fan boy?? is that an option. – I like irving, and think he adds something great to the show.

Thanks for all the comments man, and for listening!!

  3. These four episodes are so much fun, they are just another example of why Season 2 is my favorite. I love everything in “Oh There You Are Perry” from the story to the song to Doof’s crazy plot with the Regurgitator. And yes, Perry mocking Candace is a riot, I love that so much.

“Swiss Family Phineas” is great in many ways, probably the main one being that it finally gives Carl and Lawrence some extra screen time. They both prove how capable they can be in high pressure situations. And Candace telling Phineas how he could have made a giant slingshot and shot them back to the mainland, Ferb making a note of it, and Phineas asking if he could use that idea someday, doesn’t pay off until an episode that airs a year later, which just makes it all the more epic.

I can’t say that I really liked Irving when he first appeared in “Hide and Seek”, but I didn’t hate him either. In this episode, it seemed like he could have not been there at all and the episode would have been no different. But I guess he had to be introduced at some point and this was as good a point as any. He does add to the group in later episodes though (and his campfire song is hilarious) so this was a pretty good introduction. Loved Phineas being the hero and swinging in to save Isabella from the bug robot, and Candace asking ‘who smells like fly guts’.

“That Sinking Feeling”, just another great episode. The Love Boat/Titanic mashup, the romance (because Buford in a diaper just screams romance), Doof’s crazy lighthouse rocket, so many things to love. And just because Baljeet doesn’t want to build a girl right now, I wonder if he ever does in the future? Nah, that would have been a weird episode.

  5. I think this is the wrong podcast. The Transformers podcast is playing instead of POWCA.
