  1. I was in the normal schooling system I guess. Elementary, middle, and then high school. Although all of the schools were in the same location pretty much. You could walk to each one. I personally loved our school system and still do. A lot of the teachers I had are still there in one way or another.

I agree I hated standardized testing group up and it has only gotten worse. Its a tough job for teachers because they want to teach but sometimes are forced to just do test prep. I still would prefer my kids go to school than home school.

I had a roommate in college that was home school and did not handle it well. I can’t say it was because of home school but he did have the key social skills you need and the entire college experience was somewhat of an overload for him. I never realized the little things school teaches you to prepare for college like how to organize time, how the structure of a lesson works, how to work with others, and even the behavior of the lunch room. He ended up leaving partway through the second semester because he couldn’t keep up with the work load.

    1. I had a lot of home schooled friends too and a few had similar problems when they went to college. None of them quit I don’t think but the first year or so was hard on them.

I can’t say much since college didn’t get fun for me until I moved out of the dorms anyways.

  3. I had a weird school experience. I went to a small private school that had all grades from k-12 in one location. We had like 30 kids at most in each grade. A lot of us knew each other already from church that was tied to the school. For the most part having all the same ages was not that big of a deal. Rarely did grades interact at all much. There were some cool things some of the grades did where seniors would have K & 1st grade buddies they would help with homework and such.
