  1. Yelp for people is really disturbing to me, and I am the kind of person that laughs at the term “cyber-bullying.” The difference here is that you can ignore it all you want, but everyone else in the world can know what is said about you. In theory people would not read it because it is not trustworthy… but would you really pass up the chance to look someone up before a date?

I feel like this would create a constant paranoia that anyone anytime could share with the entire world their thoughts about you, fair or otherwise. I don’t know how one could stop this either. Is the platform itself illegal? Probably not as the law exists now.

What horrendous, evil people it takes to put something like this ion the market.

  3. I have to disagree with you guys saying ABC doesn’t have any good shows. Mondern Family continues to be one of the best family comedies on TV, a million times better than Last Man Standing, The Middle has its moments, Goldbergs is highly underrated, and I’m still digging Castle for the most part. A lot of their shows are geared towards a more female audience, at least dramas, but I can still recolonize why people love shows like Scandal or How to Get Away with Murder. It’s not like ABC is CBS.

    1. I just can’t stand the styles of these “modern” shows. Last Man Standing speaks to me more than the others. Also I don’t find Modern Family intelligent, it’s boring to me. The Middle is a Malcolm in the Middle knockoff, Goldbergs again falls into that style like the other two. Castle I can see (I enjoy what I’ve seen here), I forgot they had that show was on here. I get why people like Scandal and How To… I just don’t find their “comedies” to be any good is my thing. I don’t like the mockumentary style comedies either. Just personal preferences there I guess. I have a slate of shows during each season and most are the recurring ones. Few make it onto my must watch list for the seasons. When they do most get cancelled.

      1. The middle is ok but again I don’t go for that type of show. I say boring to me, not that they aren’t. It’s just not my stylistic choice in a show. I realize many people enjoy these types of show. Maybe I’m just a relic or have weaker tastes in comedy. Which is fine, to each their own. I just prefer to watch shows like Big Bang Theory, Last Man Standing and that type of comedy over a Modern Family, Goldbergs or The Middle. Not that I haven’t tried any of them. It’s the same reason I don’t much care for Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones or Walking Dead. They just don’t interest me. So yes in recap boring is a weak criticism but the premise and styles are what I dislike. I’m a 80’s/90’s relic, so when a show caters to that style but updated, I enjoy them.

Keep throwing these comments out, I have an idea for a show topic now for these.

        1. That’s fine. I get if you like the more old school style of Big Bang Theory or Last Man Standing. I like Big Bang Theory too. It gets crapped on a bunch and I get that. I tend to laugh at it so that’s a good thing. one of the few shows with a laugh track I can watch.

    2. I can tell you hands down as someone who has spent time writing his own comedy that Modern Family is one of the best written comedies of the modern era. The wit on the show is unbelievable, the way they build jokes is unmatched on Network TV. The only comedy that does it better today is Veep.

      1. It very well maybe good. I just can’t get behind the stylistic choices the show employs when doing the comedic parts. I hate laugh tracks but the lack of one, camera style and awkwardness of these shows throw me. Obviously it is good or it wouldn’t be on season after season. But I just don’t care for the styles.

    3. HEY now CBS has a lot of good shows!! CSI Cyber is awesome!!! first CSI since vegas that I’ve actually enjoyed. Scorpion rules too!!! Then we have Supergirl starting!!

      1. CBS shows are too generic to me. All the CSI shows follow the same exact format over and over. Supergirl could be good, and I haven’t watched Scorpion so I can’t speak on that.

In general though CBS makes bland shows that appeal to the masses. Kudos for them for finding a formula that works but there is not one CBS show in the last decade that has broke new ground for TV.

        1. CSI Cyber is all about cyber crime… not a lot of TV shows these days with the CSI style tackle that, and they excel at it. Scorpion is for all different types of geeks and regular people give it a try, very cool. Plus it has the T-1000!!!

      1. The Middle isn’t anything like Malcolm in the Middle. I mean Goldbergs is more like Malcolm in the Middle than The Middle is. If you don’t like that style I get that, but boring is such a lame criticism of a show. It’s a 22 minute comedy.
