I think Birdman hit the nail right on the head. Rogue One looks like the expanded universe come to life. I am personally more looking for to Rogue One than episode eight.
I think Star Wars has just been great since 7 and will keep on trucking. I think this is the escape back to Sci-Fi and Space we needed from Superheroes.
