First off it’s sad to hear the news of TFG1 Mikes mother, the geekdom’s Thoughts are with him in this sad time.
Just finished daredevil and liked it. Fisk was a interesting villain, and matt Murdoch was great. Reminded me of a urban Zorro with the mask lol, but was not a fan of the suit.
Since finishing it, I’ve started my arrow watch. The black arrow has just been introduced. Liking it so far. But getting a big lost feel everything they mention “the Island.” But I’m calling bs on salvaging the sunken yacht and getting it to a wharhoise without anyone noticing.
One topic you could tackle, superhero movie vs comic book movie. Both arrow and daredevil I see as comic book shows as there’s nothing super about em. Same with batman and iron man. A lot of films/shows get labeled as superhero movies but it often it isn’t a thing.
Enjoying the show as always, keep up the good work. And it’s always great to here the bird man come back on
Brad
Personally, I’ve always viewed “super heroes” as any one in a comic book, such as Daredevil, Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, etc. and a “Hero” is more of a real life person, Cops, Fire Fighter, armed services, etc. Daredevil does have super powers. If Spidey’s spider sense is consider a power then so are Murdochs heightened sense do to chemical exposure. Dividing the genre by comic book series verses super hero series is kinda odd given they are ALL comic book characters, and (by my definition at least) all super heroes.
Oh yeah didn’t want to take anything away from the real life heros, they more then deserve that recognition, I was referring to comic heros
There is no question that Batman, Arrow, and Daredevil are
superheroes in my mind. Daredevil has superpowers even if they aren’t
traditional over the top powers. And Arrow and Batman have plenty super about
them. Both are super rich and super trained. When you are dressed up in a
costume, with a secret identity, fighting super villains I call you a
superhero. Even someone like Hawkeye. He is a skill that is by all intense and
purposes superhuman. Now if you want to argue if Punisher is a superhero I can
get behind that. The fact he openly kills, is mentally unstable, and not
someone teams like the Avengers would allow
on their side. For me its not about power set but the character’s moral coumpass
and who exactly they set their sights on to stop. Punisher tends to just focus
on crime lords and corrupt politicians. I could see someone like the Punisher existing
to some extent in real life. I don’t see anyone ever being Batman or Daredevil.
A sad fact indeed.
Super ripped lol, the arrow actor must spent stupid time in the gym around shooting
Thanks! Yeah that’s an interesting topic choice. Maybe push it farther with the Superheroes with Powers and Superheroes that are more Regular person than that with Abilities.
Got some ideas planned in the near future so this could play into things a bit.
Nice can’t wait
