  1. If you are looking for some Deadpool comics you can start with Cable & Deadpool. I will say you need some knowledge of X-Men for that series to work. You can stick with the Deadpool vs the Marvel Universe trade for that book and be fine. The relaunch of Deadpool after that starting with the Secret Invasion was not bad either. Suicide Kings and Merc with a Mouth are solid. The classic Deadpool line is okay. Its not nearly as good as later stuff when he gets crazier and crazier. Currently there are too many Deadpool books if you ask me. He’s become the New Wolverine and Spider-Man in that way. But there are still some great stuff out there.

      1. Brian Posehn’s run on Deadpool is also a must read just for the letter section in the back. There’s an ongoing joke between Posehn and Patton Oswalt where they write letters back and forth. Some really funny stuff.

  2. I really liked everything DC showed at Comic Con. I was disappointed with what they didn’t show though. Nothing about who the Rock will be, and whatever happened to the leaked list of movies that they had planned for coming out. Did they not talk about it since it was leaked already? I was hoping we would have a better idea of what their plans on beyond SVB but nothing. Nadda. My guess is they don’t know themselves yet.

  3. For the question listed above the one show I’ve tried to get my girlfriend into was Dr. Who. She could just never get into it. Just too much for her I guess.

    1. I’m right there with you. Also tried to get friends into Battle Star Galactica and had similar issues.

      1. Ironically someone has tried to get me into BSG but I could never get into it.

    2. You have to ease into something like Dr. Who. Especially if you start with the first season. Start with something like Firefly. More general appeal and recognizable faces. If she buys into that you might have a better shot.

  4. The best news I heard out of Comic Con was that they are going to make an Evli Dead series and Sam Raimi will be involved. A few years ago I would have hated that idea. With the amount of Movies turned TV shows lately that have turned out awesome I have changed my mind.

      1. It is still long ways away. No channel attached yet. Just in the early stages.

  5. The line ‘fine corinthian leather’ Deadpool says in the video is not nod to Joker, its a nod to
Ricardo Montalbán who used to say it for Chrysler commercials.

    1. ahh ok thanks. Still I remember it more from The Joker who Hamill was imitating KHHHHAAANNNNNN lol
