  1. Look at it this way guys, how many people who enjoy sports are boggled at the idea of someone spending hours upon hours playing videogames that gives you not much more than make believe achievement points. I enjoy video games but I get way much more from watching sports than I do playing games. Theirs a craft to any sport. Especially today when nearly every minute detail is dissected to enth degree. There is a joy in investing into the success of a team, when they win things are amazing when they lose your entire week is ruined. Everything tries to manufacture the type of drama that comes naturally to sports.

    1. Yeah it depends on who you have dealings with. I appreciate your response. Kind of puts it into perspective. I used to watch some sports and enjoy them but as we mentioned things changed it for us. I would like to get back into Hockey but may stick with family first to get back in haha

      1. For me it is also something you grow up with. I know a lot of guys who it was a bonding thing with them and their dad and friends. Some people get together and play Halo and some get together to watch sports. It’s just what you are into I guess.

        1. Makes sense. I didn’t really do much of it as a kid on either front. I read a lot of comics and books, watched a lot of tv. So pretty open to a lot of things. My step dad was the reason for my liking of the old WCW and NHL. I just lost that along the way due to life. Now that I am more settled it is something I’d like to re-explore.

I try to do that with my son but it’s whatever he is interested in.

No idea what geeks you guys deal with but I don’t find many all that welcoming when you aren’t fans of whatever they are. When you do try to break in they ridicule your for not knowing everything about said property. Had that issue when I tried to get into Dr. Who.

  3. Was I the only one who thought the commercials this year were super serious. One had a kid dieing for Christ’s sake. Whatever happened to talking frogs. I will say I did enjoy the half time show. I like Katy Perry’smusic at times, and I’m not afraid to admit it. She can actually sing. This year the game lived up to the hype and was entertaining through and through. I know people who are like you that don’t care about football. I have no idea how to explain it to you in a way that makes sense. In a simple way you like to see your team do well and the teams you hate do poorly. Everyone hates the patriots so that gives you the perfect enemy. Sorry they won, but at least it was fun to watch this time. Last year’s game was a bore.

    1. ya hit the nail on the head with the football description. I’ll be back this coming week, and give my explanation. AND NO NOT EVERYONE hates the Patriots!!!! Again I’ll go in detail on the next podcast.
