Talking In Circles – Episode 52 – Her First Name’s Agent

TinC-ipod

On this week’s podcast we are looking forward to see what 2015 has to offer. Will it once again be the year of Marvel? What other comics, TV shows, and movies are we looking forward to? We also briefly discuss the first episode  of Agent Carter and the debut of the Ant-Man trailer. Is Marvel starting off the year right or are they already disappointing us?

  1. Major props to Chuck for his letter to Stewart Scott. It was a touching tribute. Really sad to see him pass away. I loved him as a sports anchor. ESPN is really going to miss his presence.

  2. As a huge Breaking Bad fan I can not wait until Better Call Saul comes out. Its squarely number one on my list right now. Surprised no one mentioned it.

The new Secret Wars sounds like it could be good. I am tired of Marvel’s big event stories though. Too expensive to keep up with anymore.

    1. That’s my bad. Should have mentioned Better Call Saul. Good on you for bringing it up.

  3. Age of Ultron, Better Call Saul, and Marvel’s Star Wars comics coming back in 2015. I can’t way to see Star Wars back in Marvel’s hands.

    1. I was not a fan when Marvel first had Star Wars. They did a lot of weird things with characters that made no sense. I know that was forever ago but I am still not over it.

  4. Wait there are other things coming out besides Star Wars. I do not believe this. This is sacrilege to me.

  5. I am looking forward to the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. He is one of the few people that can fill the huge spot Colbert left behind. It will be a lot different of a show I think though. Don’t see him doing any type of character or anything

    1. I like Larry Wilmore I am just not sure if he can carry his own show. Also I worry it will be too much like The Daily Show. Maybe he can put his own spin on it though

  6. Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Avengers. The Good Dinosaur sounds fun, Better Call Saul, and The Marvel Netflix series.

  7. You should also check out The Mighty Thor , stick with the second omnibus mostly, it combine tales inspired by actual Asgardian legends with freaky Kirby cosmic stuff, like the introduction of a sentient planet named Ego. Unlike the Dead End Kid dialogue of the The Thing, Thor talks as if he stepped out of an Elizabethan drama, giving him a more classically epic feel than the pulpier Fantastic Four. It’s my personal favorite of what they did together.

    1. I’ve never read the early Thor stuff. That duo does seem like a good fit for that comic. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for it
