  1. So it’s taken me a bit to get around to writing this…. I did listen to the ep the other day, and gotta say you guys sound like you are on your first date in the beginning of the episode! LOL

Fast Food for me is when I feel like being lazy, and not cooking anything I have in the fridge. 2 apartments ago… I lived right behind a Rallys and Steak n Shake. In my 22 years of living in Louisville KY…. I had been frequenting this Steak n Shake for 20 outta the 22 years. Damn I’m old…. OK so here’s the thing with me and fast food I don’t eat it alot these days. I’ve been to the McDonalds and Wendys up the street from where I live now twice. But the way I’ve always viewed Fast Food is it’s a treat, just like ice cream or cookies or whatever. You can have it in moderation, but that moderation should b every once in a while. Sadly when I was living at the other apartment I never followed that advice. I’d go to Rallys get a 2 for $3 or 2 for $4 burger or chicken sandwich deal and a diet coke…. I’d eat one sandwich for lunch save the other one for later that night.

I think I said this in my comment on episode 1, but since my mom died…. I’ve only been hungry like once a day or so. I kinda will make that a big meal, but then again that could be hot dogs and mac n cheese… not exactly healthy eating. For me food HAS to taste good. I know Mary will say oh but there are plenty of healthy foods that taste good…. I grew up on my mom and my nana’s american chop suey, grilled burgers and dogs… chicken, fish etc…. I will never eat a veggie or a turkey burger ack no way.

YES I realize I’m rambling here….I don’t want fast food to be healthy or else it loses the appeal in my eyes. SURE the chains can offer salads and alternatives to fries like apples in the happy meals that’s fine. But change how a Big Mac tastes…. then it won’t be a big mac!

OK Mary question for you for the next show….. you say in this podcast that subway isn’t as healthy as they claim to be….. then was the Jared ad campaign a lie? LOL
