  1. Man I may have a new favorite BVS review. You guys hit on nearly every point I could think of. Could not agree more with Chuck on the Senate scene and how it shows Snyder does not get Superman’s powers. He’s not just fast, he thinks fast, reacts fast, and hears fast. That was such a BS moment. BLAH!

  3. All I have to say after listening to this is…Ditto…cause pretty much agreed with everything you all said. Bring on Civil War!

  5. I feel like I’m the only person that liked the movie. I like the more adult tone and how they made it more for fans than critics.

    1. See I don’t get how they made it for fans tho. I know a lot of fans who had the same issues we talked about. Totally cool if you liked it but as a Superman fan myself I was pretty upset with everything.

      1. Well that’s it. I’m not a Superman fan and like this version more than other versions I’ve seen. Like that he is damaged.

    2. I really can’t stand this argument. What does that even mean? They should make a movie to make a good movie. Saying its for the fans is just fanboys not being able to admit the movie stinks.

      1. It means it was a movie about having fun not about being some deep thought provoking piece of art.

      2. I think that’s it. I’m not saying people can’t enjoy this movie. I can see why some might. But I don’t see how you can objectively look at it and call it a successful film. There are problems that are simply undeniable that are needed in proper story telling. If someone can overlook those problems and enjoy what’s there I give them credit. Not something I could pull off.

    3. As someone who fell in love with comics in large part after reading The Dark Knight Returns I could not disagree more with the idea that it was made for fans. As a fan I want a story to represented on screen in the right way. Don’t chop it up into small tiny bits taking everything good from it. Don’t miss the entire point of the story by giving us teh dumbest reason for these two people to fight. BVS wasn’t made for fans it was made for Zack Snyder and greedy Warner Bros trying to make money. That’s it. That’s the list.

      1. What I mean by that is they are making this for fans that want a DC cinematic universe. Like a comic they are throwing things in that won’t be explained until later because that’s what comics due. A lot of the problems people have will be addressed in future films. Like with the ending of MOS and this movie. It was a badass beat ’em up and I liked that. It wasn’t trying to be Dark Knight. It was its own thing. Snyder knew critics would hate the fan service but did it any ways because he too is a fan.

        1. I would argue you can do both as we have seen with Marvel. I also don’t think it was Snyder’s intention to make a badass beat ’em up. They were trying to make something more astute they just failed and landed on brainless.
