Talking in Circles – 75 – Bring Your Own Top 5

TinC-ipod

In celebration of our 75th episode we are doing one of our favorites…A Top 5 list! We put a little spin on it as each Dan, Chuck, and Greg bring their own individual Top 5’s to keep up the variety. Greg and Chuck are all about the funnies, while Dan may have been better off leaving his Top 5 at home. You be the judge as we bring episode 75 of Talking in Circles.

  1. I am not a person who watches foreign films all that much but I have seen Point Blank and I thought it was great. I saw that one and Sleepless Night and some other ones that are more action based.

Calvin and Hobbs is some of the best things ever written in my opinion. Smart, thoughtful, and packs a punch. Nothing quite else like it.

I like Chuck’s choices too. How can you not like Airplane and CaddyShack. What about other classics like Ghostbusters and Vacation. Where do they rank on your list?

    1. I would say Vacation is probably somewhere in my 10 to 15 range. Ghostbusters is good but I would have that ranked a little lower on my list around 20 or so.

  2. Yeah the sequels don’t stand up as well, but you’re right, people seem to forget the first time they saw the original.

  3. Glad to hear Chuck giving some love to the Hangover. SInce the sequels have come out all I hear is hate for that movie any more. It’s like if you say its funny some how you don’t know what good comedy is, but when it came out it was like the best thing ever. I still love first movie despite what so many people have to say.

  5. There is something mystical about childhood, something that makes it all but impossible for us adults to overcome it. Calvin and Hobbes captures the magic of childhood and helps us
return to it. The cardboard-box adventures, the crazy imagination, and he unique perspective on the world. Completely agree with it being the best comic strip out there or ever created.
