This week’s theme: Randomness. With talk about a random assortment of topics from Jason Pierre-Paul’s firework mishap to the controversial casting news of the new Aunt May to a discussion on a number of movie trailers including Creed and a childhood favorite Goosebumps. 1. What bugs me about the Goosebumps trailer is that everything is so CGI in it. I do too wish it was more on the horror side and less comedy. The thing though is why so much CGI. IF tehre was ever a movie that made sense to use classic practical effects it would be this one.

    1. I agree. Some puppeteering or animatronics like star wars or Jurassic park would make it look fantastic. Hope this movie is not a big let down.

    2. Could not agree more. Practical is the way to go for that type of stuff. Embrace the camp.

  2. Did you have an image of Greg’s tattoo? I’d like to see it. I’ve been debating forever about getting the Rebel symbol tattooed on my shoulder. Been too chicken to do it. I think its awesome when people love something enough to show it off like that.

  3. Oh I tried to go back and watch Dinosaurs and it does not hold up at ALL. It’s just not funny. Some of the puppetry is good. I do forget I’m watching dinos in a good way. The jokes though? Ooof, do they land like a dud.

    1. After the record I skimmed through a few episodes and I have to agree. It’s not as good as I remembered.

    2. What episodes did you see because if its the earliest ones they aren’t as good as the later seasons.

      1. Watch the drug episode or at least the last five minutes. One of the best bits ever for a message episode. They basicly say stop doing drugs so we don’t have to do these stupid episodes anymore.

  7. Welcome Greg to that tattoo club! I have a Horde symbol on the back of my arm above the elbow, and then in March I’ll be getting some Klingon down the inside of my lower arm, before the entire arm is colored in. I would be surprised if you only get one. Everyone I know starts with one then can’t stop. Currently I have 5. Not all are geeky. I have a family crest surrounded by my grandfather’s fully name on my ankle for example. I never regratted for a moment. Do have to give you props for getting it on your underarm. Thats gotta sting. I a wuss and only got tatoos where it would hurt the least.

  10. I like Greg’s idea of making Helen Mirren Aunt May. Both age appropriate and hot.
