This week’s theme: Chances. On this week’s episode we play a new favorite game “What are the chances” as we try our best to determine what the future of the geek world has in store. Before we get to that Greg has scratched a major movie off his list of shame, Dan has thoughts on a classic film starring a recently lost legend, and Chuck has a hidden gem for you to enjoy. We then finish the episode by discussing if CGI and if it is truly ruining today’s movies.

Another great Avengers parody video is Ultron Funk. Maybe it doesn’t
count since it is a song parody, but I would recommend it. I tried linking it
in the comment but doesn’t post my comment when I do it.
When I was in Vegas they had a high dollar claw machine. It was like twenty or fifty bucks per turn but it had things like iPads, expense watches, PS Vitas, and other expensive electronics. I saw someone spend what had to be $500 trying to get an iPad, and I was like what don’t you just buy it from the store?
That’s crazy. I have seen giant ones at amusement parks where you can win those life size stuff animals but nothing that expensive.
Its the trill of the hunt or the effect of lack of sleep and drunkenness. Let’s be honest, playing a claw machine is probably not the worst way to waste money in Vegas.

I used to play claw machines a good amount too when I was in middle school. There was this one at the mall that had mini basketballs and footballs in it that were team designed. I had a pretty good ratio. I’d say a quarter of the time I would get something. The footballs were a lot easier to get than than the basketballs because they weren’t as squishy.

I say the chances Fantastic Four make it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or 0%. My bet is Fox tries the TV route with the FF to force Marvel’s hand, because if I’m not mistaken if Marvel says no that can remove Fox from the obligation of having to make a movie within a given amount of years. If the X-Men TV series gets off the ground I almost guarantee a FF TV show will follow it.
Is that true? I don’t believe it is. How would Fox retain the rights to FF for not making something?
