  1. I’m right with Chuck and flashback story telling. Its such a tired cliche anymore. Sometimes it can be done well, but personally when I see an episode is going to be done through flashbacks I struggle to get through it.

    1. I think The Flash has done them well. Arrow they just feel forced. With The Flash’s flashbacks feel as I see them they actually matter to Barry’s overall character. With the ones on Arrow it’s like HEY here’s Oliver’s adventure of the week during his 5 year banishment. UGH.

      1. Season 3 of Arrow yes. Season 2 of Arrow used flashbacks to perfection IMO, and this year has been much better. It’s more of the fabric of the show than Arrow.

        1. Yeah the flashbacks in season 2 arrow were masterfully done. Hope they get back to that level

  3. I have to strongly disagree with Dan and the use of black and white with WD. I thought it looked fantastic. It was like seeing pages of the comic come to life, and I was on the edge of my seat for nearly the entire thing. With that said the second episode this season was one of the best yet. I thought it was going to be slower episode than that moment with Caol looking out the window. Bye God, that got me.

    1. I’m right there with him on that. The Black and White thing didn’t work for me at all. Although I’m not a fan of the comics or haven’t read them at all.

    2. Regarding the black and white I keep comparing it to something like Good Night and Good Luck which looked so pristine in B&W while Walking Dead look bland. Maybe that was the look they were going for but it didn’t work for me.

  4. You guys are right Toddy Sears has been fantastic as Jay Garrick. I hope he stays around for the rest of the season. I don’t know if he deserves his own TV show but how cool would it be if CW started making TV movies with some of these side characters. That could lead to some awesome stuff.

    1. That would be sweet. I had the idea that since they are messing around with multiple earths, they should throw in some talk of a guy that’s almost as fast as the flash and then have Iris say yeah I have to work with this guy from Metropolis named Clark and have Tom Welling appear for an episode. It obviously wouldn’t be Supes from the Flash/Arrow world since Smallville had a different Green Arrow, but from a different Earth (Earth-3?). I think that would be a fun cameo and a nice little easter egg for CW/DC fans.

    2. That could be cool if done right. I agree I’d rather see that than more TV series.

  7. So I have a planned trip for Philadelphia coming up in a few months. Any place off the beaten path you could recommend for a good cheese steak? I’ll be around the Eagles Stadium.

    1. All the places I have gone to are nowhere near the stadium. If you take the subway it isn’t to far away. There are of course Pat’s, Geno’s. Also, Jim’s on S. Street is very good. Then I just found this place called Sonny’s the last time.
