Seeing the opportunity Chuck attempts to set everyone straight on the real origins of the Infinity Gauntlet.

  1. Dan’s issues with Guardians are absolutely garbage. People can’t just enjoy good things they have to bring up the problems. What not just enjoythe movie for what it is. Ronan was just as developed as most villains. Can’t someone just be evil? I mean it is a comic book. Drax calling Ronan is SUCH a Drax move. He was drunk and angry. When you are drunk and angry you make stupid decisions and call people you shouldn’t. Maybe it would be better if nothing happened like in the movie Boyhood. This is just another example of a movie snob who can’t give a comic book movie credit because it’s not HIGH ART.

    1. To be fair it is after all a movie review. Which means we cover all the aspects of it we can, good and bad. There would be no discussion if all we did was heap praises upon it. Every movie has minor nitpick issues that are fun to bring up because it creates discussion and is thought provoking. That’s what podcasting is all about. Besides, we all mentioned those things are easily overlooked for this movie. Everyone enjoys movies a different way so I hope we don’t get too hung up on putting down other people’s views. I love that we all can disagree on movies but I’m all for keeping it a more sincere discussion.

    2. All I can say is when I review or discuss a movie the only thing I ever try to be is honest. Honest with my praise and honest with my criticisms. Sometimes that can be an issue like when I think an argument is not legit I will make it known, which as you say is when my movie snobness takes hold. If you read my review of Boyhood you’d see I also brought up issues with that movie as well, and tend to know matter what the genre. Also I did really enjoy Guardians. Just because I bring up issues doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy something. Its part of having a discussion. Otherwise it can be rather boring to be a part of.

  2. Well I like to welcome Greg to Twitter. It takes some getting use to but its worth it. I’d like to thank so at least.

  3. Very fun episode. I laughed so hard at the idea of Thanos being an old guy with a jazzy and a bedazzled glove lol

      1. his whole plan is to use the IG to make everyone in the universe do jazz hands simultaneously lol

  4. I thought about picking up Down myself. It looked interesting and Image tends to do good things. Looking forward to hear more. Maybe I’ll pick it up eventually.

  5. See I still think Loki’s staff is part of the Infinity Gems. They seem to be playing with the logic of the gems so I don’t think saying the cube was powering the staff means its wasn’t a gem. They made a big deal about that staff so I am inclined to think it has something to do with the Infinity Gauntlet.

    1. Someone brought up the fact that we don’t 100% know where that staff is do we? I don’t remember anyone bringing it up on any of the Phase 2 movies. Was it brought up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? I stopped watching that show.

      1. Well they did show it in the after credits scene of Captain America: Winter soldier. Hydra has the staff and is using it for who knows what. I’m not sure it gave Quicks and Scarlet their powers but maybe they will use it to control them? Much like Loki did to Hawkeye and Selvig. I dunno but I’m excited to see how it turns out

        1. oh yea! I forgot all about that. I could see that be the reasoning for their powers. I guess it isn’t a gem then.

    2. I think it has something to do with the gauntlet in a way but right now I don’t think the sceptor itself has a gem. In Avengers Hawkeye mentions how a door can be opened from both sides and Loki teleports to earth without holding the tesseract so to me he used the sceptor as the other side of the doorway, being connected or originated from the tesseract. And that guy in the beginning called “the Other” says that Thanos understands the workings of the tesseract more than anyone and I believe he found a way to let it power other weapons, to a greater extent than Hydra did even. But they did focus on the staff alot and something was clearly influencing the Avengers minds on the helicarrier when it was glowing, so it could go either way. I could be way off maybe they are keeping it as their wildcard. I guess we’ll find out more in Avengers 2. Its a lot of fun trying to speculate tho haha

      1. I wonder if Hydra and Ultron will be connected in any way. That I’m not sure of.

        1. That’s a good question would be pretty interesting if they linked that somehow. They might have something to do with corrupting its programming perhaps. I wonder if Loki’s scepter can control artificial intelligence like it could a humans.

          1. I wonder if they ever planned on linking Red Skull and Loki since Skull got lost in space with Loki. But I doubt Skull would come back
unless they get a different actor.

          2. I always wondered if they planned on doing anything with Red Skull again too, since he got teleported somewhere. Maybe Baron Strucker can find him with Loki’s sceptor somehow

  6. Super jealous you got to see Boyhood. I have been meaning to see it just have not had the time. I have heard nothing but amazing things about it.

  7. Ohhhh Unknown is getting very tense. Very awesome episode. Maybe my favorite so far

  8. My top 5 Williams movies would be: 5. What Dreams May Come 4. Good Morning Vietnam. 3. Aladdin. 2. Good Will Hunting 1. Hook
