There’s two sides to the fandom, collectors and fans. Very few are both.
Fans shit on the movies, collectors praise them for creating new fans and giving hasbro the funds to release some nice figures. Think where we would be in the franchise if the movies didn’t exsist.tf animated would of still ended after season 3, although it isn’t of gota full season. Prime wouldn’t of happened, and we wouldn’t of got the great toy line.
For example, have a look at the other 80’s franchise that mirrored transformers, GI Joe, yes they had two films but they didn’t make anywhere near as much as the bay films. Now there’s no toy line, no cartoon, the franchise is dead
I can defend the films til the cows come home but that’s Northern point. We all love aspects of the franchise, and it’s te parts we like that keep the fandom strong
