  1. I’m shocked Bridesmaids didn’t make anyone’s Top 10, but Due Date and Tammi did. Also thought Neighbors was pretty funny. Not number one but should have gotten a mentioned of some sort.

    1. I thought we mentioned neighbors somewhere in there? It was one of my honorable mentions :(

      1. I thought I heard someone say it. I agree it shouldn’t be in Top 10 but deserves a mention.

  3. The Other Guys… When The Rock and Sam J jumped down to their deaths, it was the funniest moment in all of comedy movies for over 10 years, to me. I watched the movie alone but couldn’t stop laughing for a whole 10 minutes until the people around me stared at me.

  4. I don’t think I could even create a list of ten comedies from the last five years. I do love the 21 Jump Street movies and This is the End was hilarious. Those would probably be my number one and my number two.

Seriously Tammy? Don’t know about that one.

  7. The reason I see comedy has dipped is because of the success of a lot of the earlier ought s comedies. Old School, 40 Year Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers ect… led to a lot of sub par comedies that try to do the same thing or nearly the same thing with the same people. Same thing happened with the early 90’s. Comedy has its peaks and low valleys and think we are getting into a peak season again. A lot of newer voices are starting to transition from TV to movies. So hopefully people like Key & Peele, Andy Kindler, Louie CK, and Amy Schumer can repace the stale Will Ferral, Vince Vaughn, and Kevin Hart’s of the world.

  8. I with you guys on The Other Guys. I love that movie. A lot of the movies you guys brought up I never heard of. I’ve seen the Trip on Netflix forever but it never really interest me. Might need to check it out now. Overall I am on the side that comedy is not all that great right now. There are a couple good ones here and there but overall nothing compared to the 80’s.

  10. I just watched The Trip the other day and thought it was really boring. I disagree with calling that one of the best comedies of the year. Just a bunch of driving around and old guys making bad jokes.

100% Agree with Crazy, Stupid, Love. That would be my top choice as well.

    1. Oh I so disagree with you on this one. The Trip is brilliant. Don’t watch it thinking it is a laugh a minute comedy. In fact the BBC series is even better.

      1. Now I’m even more scared to watch it…don’t tend to care for British humor much unfortunately!
