  1. Well I break it down this way:

Drama – Amanda has Bodyguard, Dan-Shawshank Redemption, and Kevin Fight Club.

Winner: Dan I would say Fight Club is my favorite out of those but weirdly don’t know if I see it as a drama. More of a Thriller. And Shawshank Redemption is great so I go Dan in this one.

Epic: Amanda- Braveheart, Dan – Unforgiven, and Kevin Tombstone.

Winner-Amanda – Unforgiven and Tombstone are a wash for me. Very even in my mind and Braveheart is phenomenal.

Crime – Amanda – American History X, Dan- Goodefellas, Kevin – Casino.

Winner-Dan-I mean its freaking Goodefellas. Best movie chosen IMO>

Action – Amanda – Mission Impossible, Dan – Goldeneye, Kevin – Speed.

Winner: Kevin. Speed is head and shoulders above the other action movies chosen.

Science Fiction – Amanda – Jurassic Park,, Dan – Starship Troopers, Kevin – Terminator 2.

Winner- Kevin- this was hard. Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 are up there all time for me. I like T2 a tad more.

Comedy – Amanda – Austin Powers, Dan – Happy Gilmore, Kevin -The Wedding Singer

Winner- Dan – I quote Happy Gilmore almost more than any other movie.

Romantic Comedy – Amanda – Pretty Woman, Dan – Something About Marry, Kevin- As Good as it Gets

Winner – Amanda – say what you will about Pretty Women its easily one of the most iconic Romantic Comedies of all time.

Family – Amanda Flintstones, Dan -Sandlot, Kevin – TMNT

Winner- Kevin – I grew up in the 90’s Turtles where my jam. Awesome movie so much better than the remake.

Animation – Amanda -Beauty and the Beast, Dan- Iron Giant, Kevin – Aladdin.

Winner – Dan – By far the hardest one to choose. All great choices. I Like the Iron Giant choice because its unexpected and a freaking great movie. Little surprised no one picked up Lion King.

So Overall Winner: Dan had 4 wins, Kevin 3 Wins, Amanda 2 Wins, Super close but Dan gets it. I almost Gave Amanda the animation win which would have made it a three way tie.

    1. Awesome!! Love the breakdown! I agree with you on all of them except I would probably give myself the Animation win and Dan the Family friendly win. I also could make an argument for myself on Drama! A three way tie would have been interesting though!

  2. Silence of the Lambs, Goodfellas, Shawshank, Unforgiven, Happy Gilmore, and the highly underrated Happy Gilmore. Have to go with Dan on this one. For those movies alone.

  5. I enjoyed the game well enough. It’s not my favorite one you guys did so far but the concept is cool. It’s something I might steal and do with my friends for sure. I don’t have a diplomatic way of explaining my vote but I went with Kevin because for me his movies scream the 90’s. Scream to me is the quintessential 90’s horror film. The Turtles movie was such a huge deal in that decade, Terminator 2 was the movie that redefined action for the 90’s and you also have Speed that represents all the Die Hard like movies that came out. You have a piece of the Disney 90’s and one of my personal favorites with Aladdin, and your last choice in Fight Club is a movie that ushered in a new generation of filming for the 21st century.

    1. See I would say Amanda’s list is more 90’s. The Bodyguard had the 90’s Icon that was Whitney Houston. Was there a comedy in the 90’s more quoted than Austin Powers? Pretty Woman started a lot of 90’s fashion trends, The Flintstones had Rosie O’Donnell who was another 90’s icon. Beauty and the Beast was the first animated movie ever to be nominated for Best Picture. And the Sixth Sense? I see Dead people, was used everywhere at the time.
