  1. I’m afraid to listen to this because I feel it is going to be railed, but it is actually a very good series. I admit that in the beginning the first impression is often, “X-Men in high school. Yawn.” But it is actually a well-written series in which the characters develop over time, as does the plot. In the later seasons things really begin to coalesce and I couldn’t stop watching the series. Overall it is very satisfying. And if people can get beyond that first impression I think they will discover that this is actually one of the best Marvel animated series ever made. The creative team of Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson also worked on Wolverine and the X-Men, which is another excellent series. And Craig Kyle has continued to work on Marvel’s animated properties, including Spectacular Spider-Man, which another underrated series.

    1. I do rail it a little, but I don’t downright denounce it. I agree that the beginning is ugh, meh, and holy hell so emo. However there are certain things in later seasons that were awesome.

However for me I just can’t get past the constant high school emoness throughout the entire series. Plus I prefer the hey we are the adult c-team vs hey teenagers!
