  1. No talk of the KFC double down! LOL. I had that a few times. Once even went double down on the double down. NA double down atop another double down. ow I wish I video taped it when I ate it. It was glorious in how disgusting it was.

    1. Weird. Don’t know why this post is on this episode now. I posted it on the Talking in Circles episode or at least I think I did.

  3. Top reasons for me as to why Tarantino is a genius when it comes to being a film director.

    1. Writes his own movies. Enough said.

    2. He keeps a cool, almost cynical tone throughout his movies, but always manages to sneak in plenty of humanity and warmth into his characters without ever becoming overly sentimental or manipulative with his audience.

    3. Always unpredictable. Due to the entertainment value for distraction and wealth of great yet expandable characters, and story arcs that could unfold in any direction, his movies are constantly unpredictable. Even in Django Unchained, which followed a more predictable straight story line with two main protagonists.

    4. Multiple viewings are not only required but enjoyable. Pick any Tarantino film and tell me you’d have a harder time sitting through it again compared to re-watching any other director off the top of my head. The guy lives to entertain.

    5. He borrows and imitates just enough to not plagiarize, and any filmmaker in history claiming that haven’t done that would be lying. He’s by no means a man with no original ideas, but he knows how to toe that line gracefully.

    6. Maturing and improving – With every movie Tarantino is showing more maturity and a deeper understanding of his craft, I can’t say that about that many directors out there.
