  1. Please god no It’s a Wonderful Life Sequel. The world does not need it one bit. The movie I’m looking forward the most is Wolf of Wall Street. I agree it is visual crack. Can’t wait to open that on Christmas day.

  2. Hunger Games is one of the few franchises that does the book justice. Thank god we have a female character that doesn’t spend her entire time love struck and being saved by people. For once she actually does something. I agree the second movie is better than the first, which is interesting because the second book is my least favorite.

    1. I am not a reader of the books but my wife is. She thoroughly enjoys these books and films. The 2nd was intense and infinitely better than the first. I really enjoyed this film. I think moreso than some of my super hero and sci-fi bias films of 2013.

  3. I can not for the life of me get into any of the Hunger Games movies. Just not my thing. THe movie I’m most looking forward to in December is 47 Ronin. Something about that looks so epic.

    1. The Hunger Games to me, whether the books are good or not, basically replaced the Harry Potter franchise in the film industry. I just have no interest in it. So I’m right there with ya!

      1. I get that. I too wasn’t interested and only saw the first one because my wife wanted to go. The first one was okay, not a great move whatsoever. The second one is surely an improvement and has be excited for the next movie. Something the first failed to do.

  4. Back when we did the film preview ep of MWIRE I stated that there were NONE or hardly any films I’d even be seeing that released in December.

Looking at the list now there are only two films I’m remotely interested in. One of them is actually cheating the question, as it came out today. That is HomeFront, and the other I wanna see is American Hustle. The rest are all meh for me

    1. Really I thought you would be waiting in line for the new Hobbit movie? I know how you love those. :)

      1. *eyeroll* RIIIIIIIGHT I would sooner pay to see a slow arse boring Breaking Bad film vs seeing any of the Hobbit LOTR films lol

        1. For some reason all I can think of is a movie about Hobbits on meth and I think it would be amazing.

  5. You guys should have Matt and DJ on again. They were both hilarious. Great podcast.

December is STACKED. No idea what I want to see the most. Wolf of Wallstreet, The Hobbit, and Saving Mr. Banks also looks like the classic Disney movies of old.

  6. I can not wait for Anchorman 2. We might actually get a good comedy sequel. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty also looks really interesting.

    1. I have hope in Anchorman 2, but comedy sequels never work. They have curse that just can not be broken.

  7. I actually think a Beetlejuice Sequel could be cool. Tim Burton could get his grove back with it, and be the director he once was.

December has tons of movies to see, Inside Lleywn Davis is the one on the top of the list for me. Coen Brothers are the best directors going right now.

      1. Coen’s are up there, but Peter Jackson for me is still the best director going.

  8. Catching Fire for me was just okay. I plainly not into any of these characters. They are all really boring and not well thought out. .

2015 is going to be the last year for movies ever. I mean the sheer mass of films coming out will cause the world to explode.

December is crazy with all the movies. I really hate how they pack everything together. Inside Llewyn Davis, American Hustle, Saving Mr. Banks, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and The Wolf of Wall Street all could be best picture contenders. Out of all of those American Hustle is number one on my list. And yes I’ll be seeing The Hobbit as well.

  9. Of all the young adult novels turn into franchise I put Harry Potter number one and Hunger Games a close second. Hoping the next films are just as good. They aren’t high art of course, but I like the world and concept.

This may sound odd but I have no issue with a sequel for It’s a Wonderful Life. I honestly think it could be effective in showing the change in society from then

THe movie I’m most looking forward to is August: Osage Country. The cast in that is amazing.

  10. I can’t pick just one. 47 Ronin looks like a damn good time, and Hobbit has a dragon played by Sherlock Holmes. I’ll be there in the theater for either one.

    1. 47 Ronin for me looks like it will either be good or a huge pie. Can’t figure out which yet.

  11. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues looks like it could be great. Loved the first movie and the trailers for the second have been funny as hell.

American Hustle looks slick and Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams both look delicious in it.

  12. December is all about The Hobbit for me. Don’t get why so many people had issues with the first Hobbit, because I loved it and the second one looks even better.

  13. The HOOOBBBBIIIT! Seriously can’t not wait for that movie. Number 1 on my list easily. The news about the It’s a Wonderful Life remake has me sad for our world’s children.
