Question:
What’s your favorite BAD Movie?
Geeks:
Kevin “OptimusSolo” Thompson
Nathan Crocker
Matt Fridley
This is a little different, but I like it! Cool stuff guys. My favorite bad movie are those 80’s classic Delta Force and Lone Wolf Mcquade. Lone Wolf Mcquade has Chuck Norris fighting David Carradine. Pretty epic stuff. It is so horrible in the best possible ways.
Funny that you guys are talking about bad movies and Superman in the episode because one of my favorite bad movies is Superman IV. That thing is so ridiculous and what they cut out of it was even crazier.
I think Superman 3 is worse than Superman IV. Superman 3 is batshit crazy. Richard Pryor turns into a computer, RICHARD PRYOR!
I usually don’t seek out many bad films on purpose like you guys do. I kind of get bored halfway through. The only time all watch them is when I have riff tracks or Myster Science Theater and one of my favorites from them was when they did the infamous Plan 9 From Outer Space. Ed Wood’s classic gem.
Wasn’t the Plan 9 from Outter Space that movie and not a TV episode? I could be wrong.
You know what, you are right. That was the movie.
That was the movie which wasn’t their best episode really. It was good but not there best. Have you ever done rifftracks live? That stuff is killer.
I’m super worried about the Sin City sequel. I don’t remember Bruce Willis killing himself in the first Sin City. I guess I need to rewatch it.
Funny when I heard that I thought the same thing. Haven’t watched in ages so I’ll have to go back and see.
I’m thinking he does. I forget why but I think it was to save her for something. Could be confusing it with another movie.
Please god no West Story remake. I would like to see Spielberg do a musical, but not that one. That movie still holds up. No need to remake.
Favorite bad movie? I could think of a few. One that come sto mind is Gymkata that thing is super weird. Also Troll 2 and the doc that goes along with it Best Worst Movie are both great to watch back to back.
I agree with you. I would be very much against any form of a West Side Story remake. That’s sacred ground and I don’t even like musicals.
I have no interest in musicals so count me out of the old one or the new one.
You are missing out! Lot of great stuff in that genre!
I enjoy the change of pace so far. Cool to hear new voices. Although the sound quality was mixed at times, but since its the first record I can forgive that. I have to ask do you think you’ll see indepth reviews still? That was more of my favorite parsts of the podcast. I did think Kevin’s thoughts are 300 were cool but having two or more people discuss a current is something I tend to love.
I would be for a remake of West Side Story. I have never watched the original so I can’t say in that regard. I think Spielberg could pull it off though.
Hey Jedi Disaster! We are working on the audio quality and next week should sound much better. (Hopefully)
I seriously love bad movies. Hard to pick of favorite. I havea special place in my heart for Sharknado, Landsharks, Howard the Duck, Tiptoes holy crap Tiptoes that thing was batshit crazy. Gary Oldman playing a midget. That happened. Laughing just thinking about it.
Myself and the other guys from Talking in Circles have had a few of our own bad movie nights. We’ve watched most noteably Birdemic the all time classic and the Roger Corman Fantasic Four from the 90’s/
I’ve actually seen Titanic 2 myself and my favorite scene was when they fixed some ones cut or something using a credit card to set it, but the thing was they were in the middle of the medical ward with a bunch of better supplies all around them. Instead of using those they used the credit card instead. Classic stuff.
That is literally the scene that was playing when I walked in!!! hahahaha
My all time favorite bad movies are Mortal Kombat Annihilation. That thing had special effects that wouldn’t be good enough for Sega CD. Speaking of Taco Bell…also how abou Demolition Man.
Any of those video game movies from the 90’s are awful yet fun to watch. Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter, oh and the apex Double Dragon.
Jason X is my favorite bad movie. Its more of a comedy than a horror movie and it knows it. When Jason starts slamming a sleeping bag with a person it against a pole I lost it.
I loved the old format of the show but this is cool do. My question is are you guys talking about bad movies every week? I wouldn’t be against that or like commentary stuff on them. That is usually fun.
I’m still getting use to it. Hard to say after one episode. We’ll see where it goes. I do hope you continue to review current movies though.
Discussion of current movies will come back into the fold. We have to get a few episodes under our belt and wanted to switch it up with a few weeks of ‘crappy movies’ before all the actual decent movies start coming out for 2014 :)
I would be all for a West Side Story remake. I really like Spielberg’s 1941 movie and that has many musical elements. I am certain he could pull it off. So if the remake does not work I would just like to see him do a musical.
