  1. Must say I enjoy Captain America much more then you guys did. For me it is the best Marvel movie to The Avengers.

I’d like to see Marvel get into some of their more oddball characters like MODAK. If they can do Rocket Racoon they can do MODAK.

  2. around the 53-55 min mark you guys are talking about phase 1-2-3 films….. for clarification Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Cap First Avenger… are ALL PHASE 1 films that let up to Avengers. Everything starting with Iron Man 3 through Guardians is Phase 2 leading up to Avengers 2. Then after that is Phase 3. So that’s how it works Kev lol

      1. all I remember hearing you say is “I don’t know how all that phase stuff works”

        LOL

        1. Guardians is not a part of phase 2, its more of an epilogue to phase 1 that’s being released during phase 2. Cap 2 was the last phase 2 movie leading to Age of Ultron.

          1. not a prob, I was just going off what I saw on that marvel tv thing, and what I’ve read online. My main point is Each Avengers film is the end of a phase lol

  3. Cap 2 was amazing.I liked Cap 1 a good deal, but it was goofy at times. This
is more of the Cap I like to see. He has his goofy moments but the treats feel
more real. After the line in Cap they need to make a Dr. Strange movie. That
would open so many doors for Marvel. The one thing Marvel or anyone who has
marvel properties (looking at you Sony) should stay away from is cloning. No
cloning saga, no clones of heroes, don’t care what. Clones are bad no matter
    how they are done.

  4. Wow TMNT is going to be awful. Who is in charge of voice casting? In what weird world does the guy from Jackass the perfect person to play a Ninja Turtle. Maybe like Rocksteady but a martial arts expert? God. This movie is going to be awful.

Marvel should make a Namor movie!

  5. I feel like Marvel is moving towards a Civil War movie. That would be amazing if that happens. Though not have Spider-Man could make that story tricky.

There was a rumor that Marvel would be making a Power Pack movie. Please god no. We do not need a Power Pack movie. No one needs that.

  6. I don’t think you all gave Cap enough credit. It surpassed my expectations by a mile. Maybe second to only the first Iron Man as the best Marvel Stand alone film. This one had a plot for once!

Don’t know how it would work but I’d be for Fin Fang Foom or Ego the Living Planet. At least a reference or two in the Guardians movie.

People to stay away from? Just don’t do another Hulk movie or Punisher movie.

    1. I think if they kep Rufalo as the character of Banner and Hulk another one could work. And if they get Tom Jane back, a new Punisher film might work too.

      1. I still say no. Punisher would be better on TV I think and unless they do something like Planet Hulk I don’t see a solo movie working.

  7. I have already watched Cap 2 times. I find it to be such an amazing experience. I don’t really get some of your nitpicks though. The mask coming off one is legitimate, but I also look at it as a sign Winter Solider was fighting against his mind control. A visual que he was becoming more human.

Also the different reactions to explosions seems kind of ludicrous to me. Each was a different weapon and situation. Of course the reaction will be different.

I hope they bring in Baron Zemo at one point. Either in Cap 3 or future Avengers. Also Kang is a must. Marvel needs to bring out some of their bigger villain guns.

For not do I hope they don’t do any more evil Iron Man esc villains like Crimson Dynamo. By now it has been done to death.

    1. I’m surprised Dynamo wasn’t the villain in IM2… it would’ve made more sense vs whiplash. Specifically for the armor wars sections of the film.

      1. I do agree Dynamo would be a better villain. My guess is
after the Iron Monger they wanted to go a different direction, but at the end
of the day they went back to that well anyways.

  8. Kevin still didn’t explain why my argument for Scareface remake was a terrible argument. I get what you are saying. Once you do it right, why do it again. Sure, I don’t disagree with that. But to act like a remake will take away from the original, I’m not sure. There have been plenty of remakes that haven’t hurt the original. Seven Samurai was fine after Magnificent Seven and His Girl Friday was fine after Billy Wilder’s The Front Page. Which is actually a good comparison. Because His Girl Friday was a remake of the 1931 The Front Page. His Girl Friday was looked at the definitive version, and Wilder’s Front Page is good as well. They were able to hold their own without taking away from another.

My issue was stating my argument is terrible. Which is rather pretentious way to debate something. If you want to disagree with a statement fine, but to take this level of authority and declare the legitimacy of an argument is a little much.

    1. you are right. Some remakes are good… I recently saw the original Italian Job, and kinda disliked it, and I loved the remake. Without even knowing much about the original. I think for me with originals vs remakes…. is that Hollywood at large wants to name everything a remake these days. Not just with films, but TV too.

      1. I’d rather not see remakes mind you. I just don’t get all that worked up about it anymore. There are so many remakes that have come and gone and people forget about them. It is also not as new as we make it out to be. Maybe it happens more often, but remakes have been around forever.

        1. Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were saying that because a film is remade ONE time that you can no longer EVER get upset about it being remade again. That is what I was disagreeing with because to me that argument makes no sense. As you just stated the first remake may be great or awful and likewise for each additional remake. However, at any point anyone has the right to ‘not want’ or be upset about any of the remakes regardless of if there has been one already or not.

  9. The one character all Marvel movies should stay away from is Dazzler. She’s just too corny to work in any context. I’d love to see a Cloak and Dagger movie though. I’ve love both of them since the 80’s. I know it won’t happen but a boy can dream. Maybe a cameo in one of the Netflix series.

      1. I wonder about that though. It seems like a lot of the fringe characters are up for grabs like Namor is technically a mutant and part of Fantastic Four lore but Marvel still shares him. Maybe they can use her as long as they don’t mention mutant.

        1. The only Exceptions I know of, or have heard of, are Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch. There are special deals in place for them.

Namor I THINK is Fox, they have both Fantastic Four and, well, all the mutants except the above. Though now that I think about it Namor may even be over at Universal, like Hulk was (I THINK still is) at Universal. I think individual Hulk movies are distributed by Universal. Namor MAY be the same.

          1. Interesting list. It indicates Cloak and Dagger are still owned by Marvel so that’s good to know. I do know in a recent interview with IGN Kevin Feige said he thought Namor was shared. Though maybe he is even confused with how it all works.
